Monday's Big Storm
|By: Nelser, 9:18 PM GMT on July 17, 2013||+1|
As I watched the rain pour from the sky on Monday i wondered how it would be noted on the various weather services. It appears Redford is missing info for local weather for many sites. This blog will hopefully help to keep us all informed. Both weather.com and wunderground.com reported about a quarter inch of rain for July 15th. That's waaaaaayyyyy off. We had a downpour that lasted nearly 2 hours and dumped about 4 inches on us. Basements were flooded. We had the "street river" flowing from Schoolcraft to Glendale. Have not seen rain that hard in 4 years when Hines River and its tributaries had a 50 year flood event. Fortunately it ended before too much backed up. Looks like I need to get a wireless weather station to link to the web and report regular entries to wunderground.
