Jan.14,
So our well above normal temps continue.Rain today and temps well up into the 40's,even 50's for cape cod.
Not real cold air coming in behind this system, but it will be a little cooler as the week goes on.A series of clippers into the weekend, but nothing to get revved up about.Possible some snow on Saturday, depending on temps and track of the clipper.

Jan.15th
Another perfect January day, with temps around 50.Then a cooling period starts and by next week we will be back in the artic air,as the west warms up.No big storms insight right now, just a few small disturbances and most of those staying far enough off shore to only have minor impacts. But with an east coast trough setting up,we have to watch each system that comes through the pattern.

Jan.16th
Going to be an unsettled weather pattern, with small clipper systems moving through, but with little moisture,it they do deepen, its off shore before it can have any big impact, but do expect periods of light precip right through the weekend from time to time.

Jan. 17th
So other than a few weak waves moving through, not much storminess in our future. The one big storm that was being watched for next Tues and Wed. looks to stay way south now as artic air pushes down from Canada and keeps the storm track well south. Will be getting very cold mid-late next week.Very low windchills a couple of days.

Yeah NEw, looks like it will get real cold here again mid-week, next week. Unfortunately, "tundra like" dry cold. Not much snow out side of some dustings.

Better enjoy these normal winter temps we're having because the artic air is waiting in the wings and will come surging in the middle of next week, and will probably be around for awhile.

So our pattern for a high in the west and a trough in the east will continue for the foreseeable future. This means warm and dry in the west colder and possibly stormy for the east. The problem in the east is where the trough sets up and thus control where any coastal lows form and their track. If the trough edges a little more west, this would bring the track closer to the coast and thus more snow.Right now things seem to keep things more offshore, but we'll have to wait until this weekend to start seeing better trends.Models are no where near consistent, far from it.Without consistency, not going to make any predictions.

Looks like the 22/23 is a miss for Middle Atlantic and a maybe for New England.

After that though signs are GOOD that we've got a number of threats and possibly a favorable pattern for them to take advantage of...starting the 27th.

It finally looks like we have a good view of what is coming now. It's up to the details to evolve at this point but the bigger picture seems quite clear today.

Hi NEw, it looks less and less that the Sat. event will be that significant.

Still some indications we may receive a moderate snowfall on Saturday,as one of the clippers intensifies as it slips by New England, especially east coast and cape cod and the islands.

Lt, didn't see that,I think for some we might see a snowfall,I think for us close to the coast will probably see a change over to rain.I don't see a big deal out of this to be honest. We'll see.
