April 12th
The heavy rain has moved into the my area now and will be with us into the evening, slowly tapering off. We've actually been over an inch below normal,so this will be beneficial rains.Spring is such and important time to help the plant growth before the heat sets in.

April 11th
Unsettled weather for the next couple of days with some heavy rain setting in late tonight and through tomorrow, ending in the evening.Makes it tough for taking the dog out in this weather.
Thankfully drying out this weekend, but remaining on the cool side.Should get some warmer weather beginning of next week.

April 10th
Finally got some photos uploaded. She looks so cute and cuddly and she can be at times, but she can be a terror when she wants to be. Don't be fooled by the cute face.
Another round of mostly light showers early this morning, and more coming this evening.Heavier rain Friday afternoon and evening, with much cooler weather.

Let me out,it was the cat that did it!!!

Bummer about Jonathan Winters; he was one of my favorites! :( I would've loved to have been at the tapings of Mork and Mindy when he and Robin Williams started to improv!

Are you getting any ice? this is the last thing you need!

BoSox are surprising people so far; let's hope they keep it up!

Hang in there; by Christmas, Belle should be a well-adjusted young lady, and will leave your decorations and presents alone!

Quoting NEwxguy:
Boy you know your getting old when all the people you use to enjoy on TV and movies start dropping.

Jonathan Winters, the cherub-faced comedian whose breakneck improvisations and misfit characters inspired the likes of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, has died. He was 87.

The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend. Petro said Winters died of natural causes and was surrounded by family and friends.

Winters was a pioneer of improvisational stand-up comedy, with an exceptional gift for mimicry, a grab bag of eccentric personalities and a bottomless reservoir of creative energy. Facial contortions, sound effects, tall tales %u2014 all could be used in a matter of seconds to get a laugh.

Oh, NEw! How painfully sad to know that yet another of my television idols (from childhood to present) has passed on! I shall never forget his brilliant improvisations of so many hysterically funny characters that he created in the late 50's to early 80's. His standout character, to me, is the one of Maude Frickert; especially, when appearing with the late great Dean Martin on Dean's show in the late 60's. Those were the days when such mega-talents prevailed!

A little known fact: He was also a fantastic modern-art painter, whose artwork (such as the one seen below) has been displayed in a few well known art galleries some years ago.

Found this lovely tribute to him on Youtube and thought I'd post it here for reference:

JONATHAN WINTERS DRESSED AS HIS HYSTERICALLY FUNNY CREATED CHARACTER, MAUDE FRICKERT.

Hi again, NEw ~

Thought I'd add this little gem of a tune which compliments all this springtime weather madness! LOL! Just awhile ago, we had a short bout of ice pellets hitting our rooftop before thankfully turning back to regular rain. What noisy, wacky springtime weather!

Crazy day here at work, will be glad when this day is over, but looking at radar, this rain is going to be around for most of the evening.Back edge or rain is making very slow process due to low pressure forming and intensifying off the coast and moving northeast

Hi,Mass,
So good to hear from you, glad it wasn't anything serious, and just a busy schedule.
It has been a challenge with this little pup,she is a terror when she gets wound up,my poor wife who spends most of the day with her is getting really worn out. When she was so up for getting a new dog she completely forgot about the puppy stage and the work.
Today will be especially hard as the heavy rain is moving now and will be around right into the evening.
The Redsox,I came into this season with low expectations so not going to get too disappointed, except for the fact the bullpen was suppose to be the one strong part of this team, and so far to start they have been the weak spot.
After such a busy week, hope you get a chance to relax this weekend.

Good Morning, NEw!

Sorry for my absence from the blogs, this past week, but hubby's medical appts. and other personal issues ended up biding my time.

Love those recently posted pics of Belle! I can only imagine what it took to get that picture of her in your wife's arms. LOL! Hope that OGal's and others suggestions for puppy teething will help before she gnaws through everyone's shoes or pairs of pants. LOL! It's better that she remain the Belle of the (chilled rubber) ball!

Hope your daughter and son-in-law get to enjoy their special vacation in Niagara Falls. It's hard to plan for any vacations these days with all the unexpected seasonal weather challenges presented in recent years. It seems even professional METS have trouble predicting anymore! Hopefully, they don't run into any trouble and thoroughly enjoy their stay!

Have a decent TGIF and weekend! My hopes for the Red Sox have now become dashed with the lackluster performance of their relief pitchers. Giving up five runs to Baltimore in the ninth with a Red Sox two run lead is a little more than I can bear. OUCH! LOL! Well, only time and patience (?) will tell.

All kinds of winter weather advisories up in northern new england. My daughter and her family are going out to Niagara Falls on sunday for a few days, hopefully it will warm up a little for them.

Ogal, great idea,I'll try that.Until they lose their first teeth, the teethe all the time.
She is a sweetie in between the tazmanian devil episodes.

Good morning New. We have a five month old black lab puppy and we are going through losing teeth too. I have been giving Henry crushed ice and I also keep a wash cloth in a plastic bag in the freezer for him to chew on. You can even stick some of the play toys in a plastic bag to get cold. These toys make their mouths feel much better. Good luck with your little guy. He/she is adorable.

Hi NEW, hope your morning is going well for you. We are suppose to dodge the Snow here but there is a chance we may see some of the ice rain they are predicting. I know the Niagara Region and Toronto are bracing for a really bad ice rain storm. Schools have closed and buses are not running in some areas northeast of me. The rain has stopped for now as this line of storms moves East but it's what is coming out of Minn that we are all worried about. Temps still too high for snow here.

Real cute!--But I know first hand puppies like to chew on almost anything. Like my wallet a couple of times!--Took it right out of my pants pocket (when I had folded the pants on my bedroom chair). money was chewed, but still usable!

Cal,you got that right, she loves to chew on fingers,or buttons on your shirt,or pant legs.I'm sure this is how she played with her siblings,so she figures the same goes for humans.

Our two go crazy at dinner time just like my kids did when they were little. The one nice thing about having two puppies is they can chew on each other and not us!

Cal,yeh puppy breath, when she's giving you all those kisses.
Looking, she has a couple of crazy times a day and then in about half an hour, she's out like a light.
she is very sweet in her calmer moments, but in her puppy moments she chews everything in sight, especially fingers, toes, shoes, slippers, socks.Everyone says provide her toys to distract, well, that works for about 10 minutes then the lure of a shoe or sock takes over.
The nice thing also is she doesn't bark, like Prince never barked.Love dogs who don't bark.
Looking tshirt was pushing it today, but why not won't be wearing tshirts for a few days after today.Friday looks really cold.

Oh my goodness, what a doll! Her 10-minute races around the furniture sound like our cat just after he has used his facilities; when you emerge from the litter box I guess you have to race around madly. He seems to go bonkers for about 10 minutes. Sounds like Belle in her wild time.

It sounds as if she is a handful but also extremely sweet. Gotta love our animals, no?

Flips-flops and t-shirt today, pushing things a little but I'd rather be a little chilly outside than wear the parka and all that stuff!

So the April Hurricane predictions are out,and looks to be another active season.Lets hope all that activity stays out to sea. After Sandy and the strong nor'easters we had this year, our shores are so vulnerable.

Thanks Rob and Alley, she is a cute one,but don't let that cute face fool you, behind those eyes lurks a little devil.
The funniest part is at least once a day,she has this energy explosion and she picks a path around and through the furniture and just races at high speed around and around and this last for about 5 to 10 minute.
my wife wanted a female and my daughter says what were you thinking, you raised 3 daughters, you should know what little girls are like.

ROFLMBO...Rob has it in a nutshell. Cute girls are trouble...

Good morning NEW. Been raining here most of the morning, starting to finally brighten up a bit. It isn't completely over for us yet and this system is heading east. Temps are warm enough, but everything is getting well watered. Three days of it so far, one more to go? At least it's not snow like some places in the West.

Have a great day and BTW, darn that is one cute little pup....
