November 30th
End of November and tomorrow is the start of Meteoroligical winter. It was a little above normal fall, but it was cooler then normal November, but not by much. The first month below normal in quiet a while, since June I believe.December looks to start out above normal, but don't expect it to continue through the month.I think it will be another month normal or slightly below. No big storms in sight.November was over 2 inches below normal. It usually is one of our stormier months.Lately October has become our stormy month over the past few years.

Saturday may get a little light snow or even freezing drizzle or light rain,as the warm air moves into our area, with an extended period of days in the 50's starting on Sunday. Will be nice after below normal temps to end November.
Fight night at the Celtics game last night as Rajan Rondo loses his cool.He really needs to get control of himself, getting suspended only hurts the team.

November 28th

So that was a nice holiday break.Had a enjoyable Thanksgiving, and a nice long break. Was able to relax and recharge the batteries. We'll see how long this nice feeling lasts, after returning to the job.Lot of work to catch up on backlogs and catching up on over 200 emails, which most don't even apply to me.
Enjoyed watching the Patriots rout the jets on Thanksgiving night.
Alittle bit of snow yesterday which barely coated the grassy surfaces, most of the time it mixed with rain.
So hope to visit all my friends as the day goes on.

LOL,Mass,I love that pic, don't worry about missing the date, you have had more than enough things going on in your life.As I keep telling everyone,I've reached that age, where I try not to acknowledge it.You know, you wake up that morning and say,no,no,no, not another one!!!!!!!!

Quoting NEwxguy:
Hi,all,
Mass,I don't expect a warm winter this year, but will enjoy a lack of snow just as much.
Jus, My birthday was on Wednesday, although I have tried to stretch it out all month, without much success.

NEw!!!

I'm so sorry that I wasn't around on Wednesday to issue you a proper HAPPY BIRTHDAY on your specific birthdate but, as you know, my brain and self have been scattered and extended these past few months. Nevertheless, hope you had an enjoyable day and get to continue celebrating it till the next one!!

Hi Mass, hi NEw (and Looking). Happy Friday. Nice posts Mass, lol.

Warming up here, too NEw. It's another year without Winter so far. (yes I have sufficiently jixed it early, lol).

Nice that you were able to celebrate your birthday. Wasn't your birthday a couple of weeks ago, lol? Wow, this one has lasted all month! Gotta love all those reminders especially when it's a big 'en ;) Well the new Community Activity log tells me there's a new post by the Doc...off to check it out and then get back to biting my nails worrying about closings.

Have a good weekend all!

Happy Friday, NEw!

Hope you didn't wear your finger(s) out, the other day, from having to hit the delete email button infinitesimal times. I know when I'm faced with such an email onslaught I begin to hear the ole Monty Python characters sing, "SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM" in the background of my mind while tackling the same problem. LOL!

You did better than us getting, at least, two out of the full six winning powerball numbers the other day. LOL! I wish that lottery officials hadn't upped the price of each ticket a dollar to two dollars per, as the losses now seem greater. LOL! It's curious how there haven't seemed to be any TOTAL Powerball winners in our neck of the woods ... isn't it? Nevertheless, I don't think the local million dollar winners are objecting too too much... I only wish we were one of those smaller winners. LOL!

So thankful, right now, that Sunday through possibly Wednesday looks to be unusually warmer (60 degrees on Tues.??) during the first week of December. I consider it an early Christmas present, myself. As you mentioned earlier, it doesn't look like we'll be experiencing anything close to what we had last winter. That was certainly one for the record books! I'm just hopeful that we're able to escape from any further large/heavy amounts of record breaking snowfall as that of 2010-2011. I want to erase that memory altogether from my mind.

Hope you have another decent weekend ahead, the PATS pull out another win on Sunday and, come Monday, there'll be only a manageable amount of work-related emails to contend with.

I leave you with an oldie but apropos goodie:

Well,I guess there are no Powerball winners in WU.Don't know anyone in Arizona or Missouri. There were a few million dollar winners here in Mass. getting 5 numbers without the powerball number,I got two numbers, which gets me nothing!!!

Hi,Looking, sounds like a nice holiday for you also. Also sounds like you have enough turkey to last for a while.
We are enjoying the new redone rooms, still a few decorating things to do,pictures and things like that.
One problem, our new refrigetor stopped making ice,so we have a repair guy coming Saturday.
I have my yard decorated last Friday when it was warm, and haven't turned the lights on yet, just seems too early, but will this weekend.See several houses in the neighborhood with lights on though.Just seems so early this year, not getting any Christmas feelings as yet.Seems like as I get older, that Christmas feeling takes longer to get going.

Welcome back, NEw, and hope you have cleared at least most of those 200 emails by now. Amazing the stuff that piles up, and as you said, most of it isn't anything you need to do anything about anyway.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving--we and our daughter drove upcountry to Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant in Meredith, NH, where we usually go. They serve hundreds and hundreds of people on the holiday, and even though it's crowded it's all very friendly and pleasant, many families of multiple generations, delicious food, great service and a lovely drive back and forth. Then the next day I went and bought a turkey breast and my husband and I have been eating various forms of it ever since, and probably on to the end of the week!

Hope you and the family were at long last able to enjoy your redone house and all the work you have put into it. Glad you had a good rest!

Hi,Mass,it was a very nice break, something I really needed, and going to do my best to not let this job get to me as soon as Im back.
Sounds like you had a nice easy holiday also.We had a nice get together on Thanksgiving with my granddaughter home, since she went off to school. We also celebrate my late FILs birthday as well as mine. His is on the 29th and mine on the 28th.Although this year with Thanksgiving so early, its not easy to celebrate.next year my birthday will fall on Thanksgiving day.I'll probably get my gifts stuffed in the turkey.

Good Morning, NEw!

Glad to learn that you, too, had an enjoyably relaxing Thanksgiving break. This year, hubby and I bought a couple of large pre-cooked rotisserie chickens along with the usual delicious fixin's that could easily heat up and fill out our plates (plus girths). We're now chickened out from all the leftovers, etc. Thankfully, this is one year I don't have to calorie count and have already added four of the ten pounds needed to return to a more reasonably normal weight. Keep that holiday food comin'! LOL!

Yesterday, we were fortunate to escape any signs of snowfall seen mostly south of us. If anything, our precipitation looked like just spritzings of rainfall on the windshield. I'm hoping that Sunday and Monday's potential forecast of 50 degrees (as of last night) will hold up. How I now dream of an encore to last winter's record-breaking warm spell. Let's hope that this winter will fall very short of the 2010 record-breaker preceeding it. I don't have the strength nor equipment to deal with those huge amounts of snow again nor of any long accompanying power outages. These days, one only has to whisper in the air for the power to go out around here. As a matter of fact, on or about Saturday it went out 36 mins for no obvious reason whatsoever. It's getting so ridiculously "Little House On the Prairie"!

Anyhoo, hope your day of catching up at work doesn't catch up with you at the end of the day. Pace yourself as best you can. Just think, only two more days till another weekend arrives and the PATS play again on Sunday. YEAH!

Look what Sun - Tues.'s forecast brings.
