Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

November 22nd
So we enter the holiday season.I love this time of year getting together with the family,decorating.
But I also miss the old times when it didn't seem so commercialized.And towns could decorate without some group protesting Christmas decorations,and you didn't have to say Happy Holidays so as to not offend someone.
But anyway,I wish all my WU friends a Happy Thanksgiving!!
I also like to take time to think about our troops overseas and pray they will be home soon.
Also a special prayer for those still struggling from the effects of Sandy.I hope they can spend time with friends or relatives on this holiday.
And of course,I wish my Patriots good luck tomorrow might down in New York.

November 21st
Almost to my holiday break,if I can struggle through the next couple of days avoiding my boss if possible.
Weather is cold and crisp,the best way to describe it. Mornings are down into the low and mid 20's and the days get up close to 50.Not too bad,brief warmup around the holiday,before a cold front plunges the temps on Sunday.

November 20th
An early Happy Thanksgiving.A good time to get together with the family and give thanks for everything we have,and a special prayer for all our troops overseas and may they all return soon.
Also lets hope the two sides for Israel and Palestine will come to their senses and stop the death toll over there. As always the innocent pay the heaviest price.
Looks like a quiet week ahead for the holiday travel,except for the NW part of the country getting a series of systems moving in with heavy rain wind and mountain snow.

Forget to comment on the Patriots game yesterday which turned into a rout.The rooker QB Andrew Luck looked like a rookie yesterday.But the big news is that we lost the Gronk for the rest of the year.That hurts. GM NEw and all, Yes, crisp and bright sure describes it. We got home a few days ago from our eclipse-viewing trip to Indonesia and Australia--a great and wonderful trip. We'd been able at the very last minute to get out just before Sandy hit--and then were completely out of touch for two weeks. Got back to the US to find that daughter in New Jersey had had no power for 5 days, otherwise ok. Here, just a bit of broken [brand-new] fence but nothing else except a lot of leaves and small branches in the yard. We got off really easy compared to so many. So thankful for so much! Actually, NEw, I just a few minutes ago learned that our nephew and his wife, in Connecticut, lost everything--house and everything--in the storm and a re now living at least temporarily with my brother- and-sister-in-law--my brother-in-law has both Alzheimer's and leukemia and my poor sister-in-law now has all of this on her shoulder. Just devastating. One minute you are going about your daily, more or less orderly life, and the next minute everything has fallen to pieces. looking,that is horrible news about your nephew.That storm was devastating for so many people,but it does show that life can come crashing down on you.Our planet is a very turbulent atmosphere,and my fear is we effected our climate so much that these major events are only going to get worse.I hope not,but there are indications that things have changed for the worse. Hi NEw! Rushing by in-between appointments to wish you and yours a most wonderful HAPPY THANKSGIVING tomorrow. Hubby and I plan on staying home to eat simple fare and s-l-e-e-p!!! It's been another exhaustive week, thus far, and I'm looking forward to staying home and resting up for, at least, the next four days. What a PATS game vs. the COLTS on Sunday! Unfortunately winning 59-24 has cost them a very valuable player (Gronk). Hopefully, the PATS can recoup, recalibrate and win tomorrow night's game.
