09/28 Cool, rainy day for the northeast and although it won't be raining all the time, not much sun into next week, with periods of drizzle and fog,and also periods of heavier rain.Even next week looks iffy,as a blocking pattern digs its feet in.
We do need the rain, but lets get the rain and move it out.

So work is crazy,I manage to get here at lunch time. This working for a living stuff,is no fun.
Anyway,we have a beautiful fall day here, before some real cool damp weather moves in tomorrow and lasts through the weekend. The weekend won't be a complete washout, but not much sun and some rain at different times, and we will be lucky to see 60 degrees.

Hi,Jus and looking.
We're getting there, family room is basically done, but wife is trying to find drapes for the large picture window and sliding door to our deck.
Kitchen needs new floor, but firs I have to get the walls done.I need to put a coat of primer on and then go patch all the defects that show. Then paint.Getting there, but will be glad when its all done.
Looking, cute trick with the one branch that changes. Our big color comes around the 3rd and 4th week in October.Good day to sleep on the after effects of the dental work.
Jus,can't ever reminder in any sport refs getting a standing ovation, will see how long the good feelings last, but the game definitely had a smoother flow to it.

Steady heavy drizzle/light rain here, and a bit chilly. Perfect for me; I just got home from two hours and some in the dentist's chair and am ready to crawl into bed and skip the rest of the day. Can't though--after our three weeks at the Cape I am still getting through all the things that got neglected at home.

NEw, I sure hope you are nearing the end of all your remodeling tasks! and that there will come a day, really soon now, when you and your wife can just spend a whole weekend enjoying the fruits of your labor--'cause you sure deserve that.

Mass, you and your husband are so lucky to have each other--but I know that you know that! It's what you each do when things get tough that's the real heart of a marriage. Best wishes to him, and to you, the caregiver right now.

Jus, here in Cambridge MA we have a few trees here and there that have begun to turn--but nothing much yet. I used to work as a tour director, and when I'd have to take out tours (at the behest of my company) before anything much had happened, I would tell the customers it was the "subtle colors tour." I'd show them how if they would take a picture of that ONE branch that had turned red, if they made it fill the whole viewfinder, nobody at home would know it wasn't the whole tree. You learn these tricks!

OK, the novocaine is starting to wear off so I am going to go take a tylenol. Oh well--at least these days we HAVE novocaine!

Same here, NEw. Not enough time in the day to post. But, I come here every day to see what's happening and glad to have the updates from you (and Mass).

Trees exploded here Wednesday and I think we may have peak color this weekend and next. But, many times I call it a bit early so we'll see.

Didn't get the game last night because it was on NFL network. Not sure how the refs did but I heard they got a standing ovation.

Well, have a great weekend even though it may be rainy. Hope your renovation projects continue smoothly. Bet you can't wait to be totally done!

Hi,mass wasn't able reply to the earlier blog,I guess I should just keep running the same blog, since I get so few comments in the blog.Just change it when something big is happening.
Im trying to pace myself, the problem is the business and managers won't let me pace myself.
I see some trees starting to change. The season is really moving right along.

Quoting Masshysteria from her unanswered post left on your blogsite yesterday:

Hi again, NEw!

I've finally found the time, so-to-speak, after a hectic week of chauffering hubby to his various doctors for one month follow-ups since his stroke and pneumonia episodes in July and August. His repeat chest xray shows no more signs of pneumonia and he's continuing to do better, energy-wise, with last month's changes to his vital meds. I give him credit for practicing his own brand of at home P.T., i.e., speech, plus right hand exercises. He's shown some signs of improvement with each, but the impairments are permanent.

On a different subject, what a mess of faulty subtitute refereeing calls during the Pat's vs. Ravens game last Sunday ... eh? Belechik was fined $50K for allegedly grabing onto one of these sub-par substitutes. I guess Green Bay isn't too thrilled with their allegedly wrongful loss to the Seahawks questionable end-of-game touchdown either. Once again, it was a case of show me the money, etc. with the NFL's regular refs vs. the NFL. Both owners and fans are certainly paying the price now. At least, they've reached an agreement in time for this weekend. Too bad this couldn't have been resolved during pre-season, but then the regular refs wouldn't have had as much leverage for their highly noticeable absence.

Currently, I'm loving this beautiful sunny fall day! We're also prepared for the definite downward turn these next few days. At least, there are no signs of overnight or daytime frost or freeze warnings in the very immediate future. It won't be long now before our furnaces keep clicking on and monthly bills begin to escalate. UGH! I'm curious as to what El Nino will have in store for us this winter season??? Come back, last season's warm La Nina, come back!!! LOL!

Pace yourself while at work today. There's only one more day till the weekend (depending on whether you're on-call or not). Hope it's not!!
