By: NEwxguy , 2:51 PM GMT on September 26, 2012

Make your indoor plans for this weekend now, looks like we're in for an extended period of cool wet weather.Showers starting on Friday afternoon and off and on through the weekend and there may be periods of heavier rain at times especially late Saturday into Sunday.
Warm today, before a cold front moves through tonight.A bried dry day tomorrow, before weather goes downhill tomorrow.

Hi NEw!

I've finally gotten a day off, so-to-speak, after a hectic week of chauffering hubby to his various doctors for one month follow-ups since his stroke and pneumonia episodes in July and August. His repeat chest xray shows no more signs of pneumonia and he's continuing to do better, energy-wise, with last month's changes to his vital meds. I give him credit for diligently practicing daily, at home, on his speech, plus right hand flexibility/coordination. He's shown some signs of improvement with each, but the impairments are permanent.

On a different subject, what a mess of a fill-in refereeing job during the Pat's vs. Ravens game last Sunday ... eh? Belechik was fined $50K for allegedly bumping into one of these fakes. I guess Green Bay isn't too thrilled with their allegedly wrongful loss to the Seahawks either. Once again, it's a game of show me the money, etc. with the now striking NFL regular refs vs. the NFL. Owners and fans are certainly paying the price now. Supposedly, there may be some sort of agreement on the table as of today. Remains to be seen if it's all concluded by Sunday. Too bad this couldn't have been resolved during pre-season, but then the refs wouldn't have had as much leverage or attention.

Currently, I'm loving this warmish, overcast, slightly humid, 70 degree day! We're bracing ourselves for a definite downward turn these next several days. At least, there are no signs of overnight or daytime frost or freeze warnings in our very immediate future. It won't be too long before the furnaces keep clicking on and monthly costs begin to escalate. UGH! I'm curious as to what El Nino will have in store for us this winter season??? Come back, last season's La Nina, come back!!!
