As weather days are rated, this will be a 10 today.
All of us in the Northeast are finishing the week in grand style.Today 75-80 low humidity, light winds.
Tomorrow low to mid 80's and Friday, then a slight cool down over the weekend, but still nice.
Tropics are still active, but we seem to have an invisible shield which bumps everything out to middle of the Atlantic. We are approaching the time when the Northeast becomes pretty safe from any systems as the fall trough train gets in full swing. In fact thats been the case since the end of August.Unless the weather pattern changes drastically we should be okay up here.Nadine will stay out to sea like its sister and brother Leslie and Michael.

Hi,Mass,so good to hear from you.You really have had a rough time with your poor hubby's issues. Lets hope the worst is behind him. When my father had his stroke he also lost,I believe is right side and his eyesight on the same side and his speech was effected. The doctors said he would probably wouldn't recover, but he did,not 100 percent, but about 75 to 80 percent.
Hope you enjoy this gorgeous weather we are having.
We have our kitchen torn apart at the moment. The cabinet guy is refacing all the cabinets and next week we will have our granite countertops with a new sink in.I am currently scrapping the walls of wallpaper paste and then sand them down and paint them.Plus I have to hook up the faucet,so I have a lot of work ahead of me.
Work is as horrible as ever.
Patriots looked really good,as always Bill has the team ready.
Look forward to hearing from you when you have a chance.

Hi NEw!

Sorry I haven't been able to get online to post since Aug. 29th, as shortly after my post to you that day, my hubby had a trans ischemic attack and had to be admitted into the hospital overnight for more tests and treatment. Since his discharge on
08-30-12, his new medication plus changes to his regular meds have seemed to help him considerably. He looks much better, doesn't feel so lethargic when he wakes up or after taking his second round of meds an hour before bedtime. I took him for his follow-up visit with his regular doctor yesterday and all went well. He appears to be fully recovered from his pneumonia, discovered and treated in mid-August, and must wait a few days for a repeat chest xray for full confirmation. He sees his neurologist in two weeks. His speech, right hand, memory and behavior remain further impaired but he does his own physical therapy every day to help with speech and flexibility of his hand -- stroke victims usually can suffer resulting rigidity in a hand or other limbs.

On top of that, I'm dealing with our City officials in relation to our car having to unavoidably hit a deeply recessed drainage ditch (a block around the top of our street next to a grammar school) in order to avoid an oncoming car which swerved around a jogger in the opposite land into our narrow lane. It blew out the right front tire, rim and axel which was quite a costly deal. I can understand having to eat the cost of a blown tire due to a neglected pot hole in the road but this was excessive, a matter of public safety and should receive immediate attention and fair remuneration for very costly repairs. I have to follow up with our district's councilwoman as the Asst. to the Mayor hasn't responded to our letter of complaint and repair bills (as he said he would in a few days time) for a full week. Go figure!

Hopefully, within the next few weeks, I, too, will be able to catch up on much needed rest, and get things fully resolved, so I can resume blogging again. In the meantime, I hope to post here and there when time allows.

Hope you and the Mrs. had a fine well-deserved vacation in New Hampshire without incident from that nasty cold front (affecting many parts of New England w/ severe storms plus tornados ... we only received rain, THANK GOODNESS!) and that your kitchen renovations are coming along as planned.

P.S. Glad that the PATS seem to be off to a good start with their win over the Tenn. Titans on Sunday. Hope their new rookies will continue to work out.
