A band of showers moved through quickly this morning, cold front approaching this morning. should be clearing out by afternoon, still a chance of a pop up shower.Dropping humidity tonight.Cooler comfortabl weather for the next couple of days before humidity moves back in for Friday, then another front Friday night or early saturday.
We will be watching the remnants of Isaac either late weekend or by Tuesday.
Seasons are changing, more frequent fronts, cooler nights.later sunrises, earlier sunsets. These summers seem to get shorter and shorter.

Mass,so good to hear from you,I've been thinking of you and how you and your hubby are making out. That is good news to see your other half is doing better, but as you both know, coming back from a serious illness is a long battle, dare I say at our age, nahhh,I won't say that.
Anyway, now car problems. Its a very serious issue out there getting dependable work done on anything these days, especially something as important as you car.Good luck!!!
As for the RedSox,it was way overdue, the atmosphere has been going downhill the last several years, spoiled over paid athletes.Very happy to see the cleaning of the house ,and now mayber some of the others will get the message, everyone is tradable.
Don't worry about the Patriots, the preseason truly means nothing.I have all the faith in the world for Bill Belichick,he knows how to prepare these guys.Hopefully he won't play Tom too much this last preseason game,he's taking a beating.

Hi NEw!

Dropping by to thank you for your kind words posted nearly a week ago on my blogsite. The feeling is mutual good "BayStater" buddy!

Currently, I'm thankful that my hubby appears to be doing much better, stamina-wise, since completing his meds for pneumonia this past Saturday and having instituted iron pills to his daily med regimen for, what was also shown to be, mild anemia.

Unfortunately, I have some problematic car issues that are now taking up my time concerning a costly and newly installed (August 9th) right front wheel axel (replacing a damaged one) having been proven defective as of yesterday. The auto repair shop and its parts distributorship clearly had us driving a ticking time bomb, since that date, and will definitely be reported to the State Attorney General's Office for Consumer Fraud and Safety AFTER they replace this defective one free of charge. I don't want to think of what could have occurred while driving on the highway, with a very sick hubby in the car, on the way to one his doctors offices. We only have this one car and have continued to keep up with timely oil changes, tuneups and repairs. I plan on taking it to an authorized dealership in North Reading, MA for a further assessment, etc. before filing charges, as I want to be clear as to the type of worksmenship and possible other sub-standard parts used while being overcharged for both. Never a dull moment around here these days! ARGH!

Hope that Hurricane Isaac will, at least, remain on the lesser side of a CAT 1 when reaching New Orleans. I've posted on Pat's blog as to my thoughts and prayers for him, his family and fellow citizens there. Seven years is not long enough between Hurricane Katrina and now this! At least, new reports have mentioned some of the serious improvements made to the surrounding levies and flood gates by the Army Corp. of Engineers. Hope all will hold quite well and any damage to NOLA is extremely minimal. Glad that most of our WU Floridian friends made out okay despite some major flooding to streets. Gamma's property wasn't touched but she has pics up of nearby flooded streets.

On a different note, what are your feelings about the big Red Sox trade over the past weekend? I'm amazed John Henry decided to part with Beckett after just previously stating that he fully supported and planned to keep him indefinitely. Seriously, I'm glad the foursome are gone to the Dodgers, as most were obviously overpaid and, specifically two, not team players. Hard to know what the organization will do next year, as they seem adrift and out of concrete ideas or options.

I don't know what to think of the PATS as of yet. They don't look too hopeful either. ~ Sigh ~
