Blocking

Spring seems the season when systems get spin and go no where. When blocking sets up in the Atlantic,it creates havoc with systems in NA.Systems don't know where to go and often go backwards.Thats what happen on the east coast, over the weekend a system moved off the east coast, but was blocked and finally backed into the canada northern new england area, and is just sitting and spinning. Not much precip, but lots of clouds and windy conditions. Another Red Flag day as we are bone dry and winds are expected to gust to 30 and 40 this afternoon.Weekend looks warmer.
Prince is a little better, but now what food he eats is going right through him and he has had a couple of accidents around the house.Poor dog has one problem after another.
I got the ceiling painted this weekend, all day Saturday and Sunday morning put a second coat on before leaving for Easter dinner at my daughters house. Nice to relax for a change.
Redsox started off the season with a thud, crash, and basically blowing up.obviously the objective this season is to score 15 to 20 runs and maybe have a chance to win.
Watched the Masters golf tournament yesterday and though I don't usually watch a lot of golf on TV,was totally taken with the excitement right to the end yesterday.

Hi NEw!

Not sure if you're using WU's newer website over the old one, but lately many people have been complaining of various glitches and lack of corrections on the newer one. I've much found more luck using the Classic website to post things these days. If you're already using the Classic WU, then I guess you're out of luck until a WU tech rep decides to respond. SORRY.

Just in case this is useful, I'll link you up to the classic format. LINK TO CLASSIC.WUNDERGROUND.COM

Good Morning NEw!

I guess Wunderground took your blogheader title, "Blocking", quite literally this morning. LOL! Sorry for all the frustrations. I, myself, am continuing to have computer problems, especially, on the newer WU site (reverted back to CLASSIC FORMAT) and other websites as well. I've become a master of shutting down the daily periodic freeze ups on my task manager. ARRGH! Hopefully, I'll find the time and money to fix all these headaches in the near future.

Well, the continuously beleaguered Red Sox miraculously had their first win of the new season over Toronto last night. LOL! I'm curious to know just how many ardent fans will continue forking over big bucks for what has now become the highest priced tickets (in both leagues) for a very mediocre team. Boggles the mind.

This morning looks pleasantly sunny, but still a bit chilly for my tastes, before some slight rainfall possibly arrives later this afternoon. Sadly, these anticipated sprinkles are far from enough to quench our hazardously parched woodlands. Nevertheless, I'm excited at the prospect of a wonderfully sunny and warm Patriots Day weekend with temps reaching near 70F and above Sunday/Monday. It'll be interesting to see how it effects the runners on Marathon Monday. As for hubby and I, we'll be using this pleasantly warm weather as an excuse to finally and SAFELY fire up our gas grill. Can't wait to resume eating some of those delectable outdoor grilled foods again.

Alley, your probably right, things have changed.I would think farm dogs are a lot tougher than the home dog these days.
I'm actually going to go by the pet store and see what they have for a remedy, since the vets don't seem to have an answer.

NEW, surprised that you should not feed any dairy products to dogs but I guess with all the designer foods, today's dogs do not have the same immunity as those say 60 yrs ago. We gave dairy to our farm dogs, they loved milk and cheese if they could get it, got lots of exercise chasing the cows out of the back pasture, ate groundhogs, squirrels, rabbits they could catch and lived long healthy productive lives. I guess its how the animal lives that determines his diet, just like us....anyway, hope you can find a solution online.

Hi,Mass, thanks for your good wishes about Prince. My wife is so upset at the possibility we may lose him. They became so close during her battle with cancer,he was by her side constantly.I still find it amazing that he can be so sensitive to her feelings if she is not feeling well. Now the tables are turned and its our turn to take care of him.

Good Morning NEw!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your Easter Sunday with close family members.

Hubby and I had my father-in-law over for a nice simple traditional Easter dinner before hubby took him to visit my mother-in-law in her nursing home. She enjoyed my card and was relatively pert over the weekend. She has good days and bad now which is naturally emotionally difficult on them.

Looks like it'll be awhile before we get a good enough dousing of rainfall to quench our State's tinderbox situation. I believe today's forecasted near 40 mph wind gusts will probably arrive later this afternoon, as currently they appear on the mild side. We continue to keep a wary eye out on this dangerous situation, as we happen to be surrounded by wooded areas.

You're absolutely right about not feeding Prince or dogs any dairy products. Sorry that the Vet is unable to recommend something dietarily safe and helpful to off-set all his negative reactions to the heart medication. Naturally, we all hope for a positive solution to be found real soon!

GM,Alley,good to see you.
Yes I had a good Easter, had an Easter dinner at my daughters house with all the family there,it was a good time.
We've been talking to the Vets about Princes diet. They gave us some special dog food, and that seemed to be working and then when he developed the heart problem and they put him on heart medicine that effected his kidney function which in turned changed his desire to eat and he became very fussy. Dairy products are not good for dogs,so cheese is out.I've been researching online for some ideas.
Hope you have a good day.

Good morning NEW..sorry to hear about Prince not doing well...my sister has a cat that has had problems with diaharrea so she started to give him scrambled eggs to help his digestion. It works for the cat, no more accidents, wonder if it would help Prince, perhaps even a bit of cheese might help bind him. Check with the vet and see what he thinks.

Otherwise how are you doing dear one. Hope Easter was good to you. Have a great day.
