Whitney Houston,RIP

It was a shocker to hear of the death of Whitney Houston this weekend.Music has always been a big part of my life,since I was young.And through the years I have seen a lot of amazing talents die way before their time.Whitney Houston was a very special talent,one of the best voices I can ever,but she was her own worst enemy,and like so many in the entertainment business,drugs and alcohol brought her down.I hope she finds peace now.
Great tribute from Jennifer Hudson last night singing Whitneys signature song.You could tell she had a tough time getting through the song,but she did a great tribute.
The grammys were fun,some good moments and some not so good,very happy with Adele winning,she is another one with amazing voice,and her first time singing in public since her throat surgery here in Boston,last fall.Some other memorable moments,but bringing back some of the older performers is always uncomfortable.Beachboys was a bad,Glen Campbell was uncomfortable watching him,but nice to pay tribute to them.
Anyway,was having football withdrawals this weekend,as I always do after the superbowl.Start watching our winter sports teams,with the redsox starting spring training next week,with a lot of players already there.Going to be interesting to see how Bobby Valentine is able to motivate some of the spoiled veterans.

Hi NEw, hope your Monday is going well. Loved the show last night except for just a couple of the performers, just not my cup of tea, but loved the rest of it. Whitney was memorialized so much, it's as if it happened so long ago, and I know it's only been a few days. So, how was your little snow and cold snap? We are expecting a quick system tonight again. Maybe enough to make things slick. Baseball already!!! Wow, seems hard to believe. Not jumping on those April tickets though, been there done that. Freeeeezing opening days. Hi,Jus,it was a non snowstorm with a coating when I woke up in the morning and it was over and melted by 10 am.The cold snap was in the upper 20's,but the wind made it a lot colder,but as far as what they had talked about,not much to speak of and it was up to 40 today.So winter continues to fizzle. Oh come on,Im ready to start playing springtime songs.Winter is done.Ok erase that,I may regret saying that.
