Our beautiful early fall weather is over today, and certainly mirrors the mood in Boston area. The unbelievable collapse of our baseball team is complete. After watching them tear up the league during the summer,it still doesn't seem real. But hey its sports and life goes on with more important things to worry about.
Listening to one guy call up on the sports talk show,he couldn't sleep all night, feels sick and starts rant and raving about the failure.I'm thinking, doesn't thing guy have anything else going for him in his life?Things like a homegrown terrorist capture in my local area planning on blowing up monuments in Washington and killing people. This wil become a huge story in the coming days as the details come out.
So chance of heavy showers and some thunder today, a break with a warm dry day tomorrow, then more unsettled weather on the weekend with much cooler weather.

Hi,Jus,
It was exciting, but so frustrating, early on it looked like it was going to fall into place, but then a thunderstorm delayed the game an hour and it was like everything changed after that, hmmmm, someone much higher up seems to have decided it wasn't to be.Sox lose in the ninth,Rays come from 7-0 behind to win in the 12th.How else can you explain, but a higher power got involved,or maybe they just weren't as good as everyone thought.

Hi NEw, sorry to hear about your Sox. But heard the games were exciting last night for the playoff chances.

Looks like you have similar forecasts. Except the wind. Just got an alert that winds in WI may be up to 60 mph. We are awfully close to WI, ugh.

At work and browsed through twitter, but didn't see the story about the terrorists in MA? How close to home is right!

Hope your thurs. flies by.

Morning, gamma,I don't take sports so seriously these days, with hig salaries and spoiled athletes, its not enjoyable, but having built such a good team and due to injuries and lackluster play, they collapsed. Its actually nice to see a team built on homegrown players, playing for the enjoyment, make it over some overpriced teams.I wish the Tampa Bay Rays success,I really like that team and hope they capture it all.
Yep our weather has slipped, but it was a nice ride while it lasted.St. Louis got in,because of the bigger collapse of the Atlanta Braves, the Braves and Redsox are riding the same slide down.

Hello NEw,

I feel your pain with your baseball team.

I know most of the summer your team played great baseball.

Anytime the Cardinals are a head or have a great lead in the middle of the season,
they always lose it..

this time they were such underdogs and so far behind.. I still cannot believe they are in the payoffs.

I just wonder if they can keep up the momentum.

I see your nice "fall" weather has moved on for a while and now dreary weather is upon you.

Cheer up, it is Thursday!
