This and That!

Random thoughts on this Thursday with not much going on.
1.One more day of warm dry weather, before dewpoints start to rise and rain and storms move in late tonight.Weekned looks good with temps close to 90 and low dewpoints.I'm oncall so figures it would be a nice weekend where I can't travel far.
2.Tropical Storm Don heading NW in the gulf, looks like central to southern Texas coast is target, hopefully it is a moist tropical storm, that state needs rain so bad.Hoping it stays weak.
3.Attended a wake for one of my uncles, which I have fond memories over the years.Only one more uncle left for our elders of the family. Now that makes me feel old thinking that my generation are going to be the elders of the family. At 63 I still don't feel old,but all these things are making me realize time is moving fast.
4.Refuse to watch any more stories on the debt ceiling bills in Washington, just sick of the whole bunch of them down there.
5.Patriots trade a 5 the round draft pick for Albert Haynesworth from the Washington Redskins. Not a nice guy,but I guess they will try to get something out of him this year. They have a month to evaluate him and if he fails, then they just dump him with out much risk.
6.Redsox continue to pound opponents.Playing the lower teams right now and their pitching are no match for this offense.Another 2 digit night last night.Have increase their lead over the Yankees to 3 games.
7. More heavy rain in the Great lakes area. The Chicago area is going to float away if this keeps up.
8. Notice the earlier setting sun in the evening and the later rising sun in the morning. We here in the north know what that means. Not going to talk about that anymore, just depress me.

Quoting NEwxguy:
Redsox final score thye lost 4-3,stunned they didn't score double figures today.

Good grief, NEw, did all the regular players take a day off or go on the disabled list? Sad state of affairs when they can't even beat K/C after being two up in earlier innings.

I had to go on the classic version of WU to post on your site, as the glitch gremlins are back on the new one. Could be why you were having trouble posting the Youtube video earlier? Can't figure it out. Early this am, things were fine then, whammo! It's affecting my blog site as well.

No precip until very late tonight in our area,if at all. Tomorrow afternoon may be a different story. Redsox ahead after 3 innings 2-0.With Josh Beckett on the mound that may be all they need.Although 12 runs is more likely.

Hi NEw!

Glad that, for now, any t'storms on the horizon haven't arrived as yet, as the Red Sox are playing Kansas City right now with a score of 2 Sox - 0 KC at the bottom of the third. Hopefully, they'll pull out another victory off of their bats in just a few more hours.

Hope TS Don finds the strength to make its way to, at least, the Houston area. They sure could use a lengthy drink after an incredibly parched summer.

It appears don is really struggling to maintain itself, dry air and the high to the north of it,are all inhibiting it. Lets hope it holds together enough to give Texas some rain.

Awesome vid!!! That's quite a list there. Especially fond of #4 but #8 is disturbing.
Wow go Red Sox. Cubs beat Houston this week (ROTFLMBO)

Hmmmm, about this new story from New Hampshire.

I should bump Mass's page up. 13 windows, no wonder there's still so much pounding and construction going on. But I am so happy to hear Mass's project has gone smoothly.

Well, see you two later...have to go sweep the driveway before this rain comes again. We are getting all the sticks and mulch run off from the neighbors. And, where did I put those oars?

Disturbing story in New Hampshire

The search for missing 11-year-old New Hampshire girl Celina Cass has been joined by FBI child abduction specialists. Cass was last seen at her home Monday night. Investigators say there's no indication she ran away or someone took her, nor are there signs of a struggle. Her stepfather, Wendell Noyes, said Wednesday Celina is a quiet girl and would not leave home on her own. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at 603-846-3333.

GM,Mass, don't even mention whats coming after the summer is over.Yes,weather systems seem to get stuck in a pattern, and if your unlucky enough to get stuck in a wet weather pattern,it seems to go on forever,as we found out a year ago in spring.

Hi NEw!

Regarding your posted video, I haven't forgotten about you, but as usual these days, just another busy am. Seems like an appropriate paraphrased motto of these times of political strife and daily living would be: "Like Sands (STUCK) in the Hourglass, So Are the Days of Our Lives!" I think most everyone is sick and tired of the disturbing political theatrics and has signed enough petitions to protect those rights our generation paid for through the years and still deserve.

I'm still surrounded by the early am sounds of nail guns and compressors, as the one remaining installer's doing a decent job of replacing most of the old trimwork to 13 windows. Yes, no one realized it would be like living through an entire seasonal episode of "This Old House", but we're grateful not to be appearing in the "Do It Yourself" series at this stage of our lives and circumstances! LOL! Our 50 yr old ranch was uniquely designed and built to say the very least.

Glad to hear Jus sounding fairly upbeat in her last post despite all the serious rainstorms that have plagued her region. It seems like they're stuck in the LONG WASH, RINSE AND REPEAT weather cycle this summer. Hope she continues to flourish and bounce back as much as parts of her claimed bountiful vegetable garden.

Thankfully, there are less than a couple days left before the weekend begins! YEAH! Unfortunately, it appears more heat, humidity and t'boomers will arrive along with it, but next week (the beginning to August) looks to be more promising. For now, I'm just enjoying each evening of these natural cool quiet breezes along with the cool to warm drier air of the day. Before we know it, Fall will be upon us again and then .... more UGH to the mix! LOL!

HOPE YOU HAVE A DECENT DAY!!
