So don't get use to any particular type of weather for the foreseeable future. The strong High in the central part of the country shows no signs of moving,so they will bake in the central and southern plains, while disturbances move up and around the high.So we will have periods of warm dry weather, then a brief period of humid air, then storms will clean us out and we will have a short dry period.Nothing looks to change anytime soon.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN
CONNECTICUT...CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS...EASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS...NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS...SOUTHEASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS...WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...SOUTHERN NEW
HAMPSHIRE...NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND AND SOUTHERN RHODE ISLAND.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THERE IS A RISK OF SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING...MAINLY ACROSS SOUTHWEST NEW HAMPSHIRE AND
WESTERN AND CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE
THUNDERSTORMS LOOKS TO BE LOCALIZED WIND DAMAGE...ALTHOUGH A FEW
STORMS COULD ALSO CONTAIN HAIL. THESE STORMS WILL MOVE QUICKLY
WEST TO EAST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THERE IS A LOW PROBABILITY FOR STRONG THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY
AFTERNOON OR EVENING.

Quoting NEwxguy:
Jus,Ah technical meetings, not so boring. Things are pretty quiet here also, although watching the radar in New York as they move east.
Yes,Mass is always good for the graphics, she's our graphics queen.

Hi Jus and NEw!

Regarding being the "graphics queen" around here, time constraints have relegated me to becoming the Google Mistress of Graphics. LOL!!

Talk about Google Doddles ~

Looks like the bulk of the nasty storms coming into Mass. from NY are going to mostly effect the Western, Central and Southcentral portions of our State. Would be great if we escaped from any trappings today!

Hiya NEw, fly by. Glad to see you at least had some rain for your lawns. Hope that's all you get w/no severe. Good tune. The meeting was ok. Technology related and usually I stay up on that stuff, so I liked it. It's catching up with the morning after the meetings however which is the real pinch.

Not much else happening. Just checking in. Cute graphic Mass!

Watching radar and big storms are starting to fire in New York, Severe Thunderstorm watch for NY and western Mass. and special statements for central mass.,hoping they will weaken by the time they get to eastern Mass.

Hi NEw!

Yup, looks like the middle portion of NY is getting some severe reds mixed in there. Hopefully, our cooler temps, inspite of the sun now appearing, will prevent the severity of those storms from effecting us. The unfortunate problem is that I'm beginning to feel the humidity return along with the sun, so depending on the time of day and continued direction it takes, we just might have a flare up or two. Hope it remains just rain.

Regarding the useless ideological congressmen on Capital Hill who are trying to play penny ante with its hardworking or out of work citizens, etc., we, who still vote, should stop paying for their FREE healthcare benefits and give them a taste of what they're trying to do to us!! Let their captitalistic corporate lobbyists pay for ALL their perks (including healthcare) after they have bit their hands off by defaulting on our debt and taking down their Wall St. cronies in the process. What an absolutely pathetically stupid and juvenile situation they have created for themselves and ALL!! Wars without revenues and tax cuts for the rich do not create a balanced budget under any circumstances. Trickle down or "Voo-Doo Econcomics" (aptly named by Bush, Sr.) does not work as proven by the Reagan years. How dumb do people have to be to allow continually proven failed financial policies go on before this whole country goes completely belly up?

Hi,Mass,I was purposely avoiding mentioning August. This is way too fast. This little bit of rain we have been getting each day is helping the lawn, starting change to green from the brown that was setting in.We are fortunate up here.Rarely get long hot spells, although last summer was a long extended heat spell, and then we paid for it in the winter. So if we aren't so hot this summer, does that mean an easier winter?
Oh well,if only Mother Nature was so easy to predict. We all know what happens in summer really doesn't mean anything for the winter.
Yes so glad to get the NFL lockout settled, with so much money at stake for both sides, you almost knew it was going to happen. Now if only our government would work that way,but since it isn't their money they are playing with, there's no incentive. Now if we could tie their reelection to whether they get an agreement, you would see a compromise in one day.

Good Morning NEw!

I don't know about you, but had another good night's rest with this wonderfully positioned cool front providing a welcomed relief from last week's blistering heat. It also kept yesterday's serious t'storms from forming around here! (YEAH!) Enjoyed the much needed rainfall overnight. If the weather remains 67F most of today, (is it Fall already? LOL!) it should hopefully buffer us again from any forecasted serious t'storms creating possible destruction. Hope so!

Well, nice to see that the 4 mos. NFL lockout is over now and should be interesting to see just how it'll effect the players and games ahead. Hope the Red Sox continue to dominate offensively while certain "star" pitchers remain sidelined. If it weren't for those hot swinging bats scoring runs, they'd be way down in the loss column.

The work crew is still milling about continuing with all the indoor trimwork around the many replacement windows. The noise of drills, hammers and air-compressors aren't missed once they finally leave around 3:30 pm. Hope by the end of this third week all will be totally completed. At least, they're punctual and thorough but, at week three, it's taking what seems to be F-O-R-E-V-E-R!! LOL! To think, August 1st is only FIVE DAYS AWAY! ACCK! This summer's going by way too quickly for me.

Hope your workday goes smoothly and swiftly.
