Suddenly a line of heavy thunderstorms formed just west of me and moving into my area as we speak, formed out of no where.with the warm humid air moving in, there must be a trough in the area which added the instability with the humid air, clashing with the cooler air of last night.Getting very dark outside.
Humid through today with a cold front late today and more heavy thunderstorms. And then a long stretch of cooler air after today.
NWS has now posted a tornado watch for our area, storms are really building to our west.Nothing like starting a new month with some excitement, lets hope it just stays a watch.

Hope you can make it today without anything too severe, maintain power etc...
Wait, was the Bruin's game tonight or tomorrow? Don't answer that, I'll look it up. Have a good one. Hope it's better than yesterday.
Thanks for the heads up earlier this am regarding that nasty line of t'storms which swept over us! Fortunately, we experienced only a few booms, a touch of hail (surprisingly)along with a bit of a downpour.
There was no damage to home or property! WHEW! Originally, my hubby and I thought the distant booms were from a construction crew nearby, as the sun was shining brightly with no clouds in the sky. My instincts took over, though, and I quickly went to check the local radar on Wunderground. Needless to say, I quickly logged off and took appropriate care.
Looks like we might get another t'storm later this afternoon. Hope it'll miraculously dissipate before reaching our area.
Hope you remain safe in your office today and that, better weather will hold up so you'll be able to take an outdoor break come lunchtime. We all could use some decompressing after the hectic nature of work and home.
HAVE A DECENT WEDNESDAY! FRIDAY'S JUST TWO DAYS AWAY! YEAH!

Strange occurence this week, and MCS cluster of storms that went through northen new england this weekend, ended up swinging all out into the Atlantic and heading south and then se to the coast of florida forming a low as it approached the coast and was named an invest,if it had more time it could have become a depression.Talk about backwards.

I've periodically had the same frustrating problems with my avatar missing as well. I've just had to track it down in the photo area and click bio photo only.
I thought that since the Bruins are about to begin the Stanley Cup Playoff games vs. Vancouver, you might want to temporarily upload either an animated Bruin's hockey player or the B's symbol as your avatar. LOL! You're call.

This is a composite plot of the radar summary, echo tops, storm movement, TVS and MESO signatures and watch boxes. The radar summary is color coded by precip type. Greens, yellows and reds are rain. Pinks are mixed precipitation (freezing rain, sleet). Blues are snow. NOTE: Radar data is susceptible to a phenomena called anomalous propagation. This generally happens at night and appears as a area of 20 dBZ echos (darkest green) which is centered around each radar site and expands with time. To try and reduce the problem, low echo values near the radar sites have been removed.
