So we are 2 weeks into winter, and so far its been pretty normal except for our superstorm post-christmas.Temps have been normal except for a much above normal New Year's weekend. And there are no extreme temperature changes in the near future. The storm at the end of the week into Saturday, does not look like it will be a major snowfall, although some areas may get upto 6 inches, but it is uncertain at his point where the heaviest precip will fall. The coastal storm looks to stay pretty far out,but a combination of an upper low and another small low over the great lakes may induce some heavier snowfall in some areas on Saturday.Another projected coastal storm midweek next week may stay out to sea also.So for now just your typical winter weather, but don't forget the coldes part of winter is the end of January and first part of February.

I certainly hope that the nasty weather system currently running through the Carolinas and upper portions of Florida will head far out to sea! I shudder to think what would happen if it collided with that which is expected from Canada on Friday!
With a snowblower that's kaput, we're not up for any more blizzards right now! I'm thankful that, at least, in New England the temps have remained above freezing with the sun peering through a bit of overcast. Hopefully, we won't see our temps dip down into the single digits as the season progresses! My delicate ole bones can't handle that as well anymore nor can our pocketbook.
