This is really getting bad.I've had .03 inches so far this month,a little over an inch in July and nada the last half of June.Water bans are going up in many cities,so far my town hasn't,but expect it if this continues.
The good news is the humidity is leaving for a few days.Due to return early next week, before another front moves through. That will be the best chance for some rain, the front is expected to be a slow mover and may even hang up in our area. The next couple of days should be below normal near the coast as we get an onshore breeze.
The low in the gulf has been designated TD Five, and probably will become Danielle shortly, moving off the WNW,expected to make landfall on Louis. coast in the next couple of days. All signs point to a very active tropical period coming up,starting next week. And the upper air environment may be changing to make the east coast more vulnerable. Will have to wait and see how things develope.

Hi again NEw!

Well, I've returned with some NEW information which might peak your interest! Unfortunately, it might conflict with tomorrow night's pre-NFL season game with the PATS vs SAINTS. LOL's!

Thought you might like to read the information provided by NASA and linked below regarding tomorrow night's Perseid Meteor Shower. The planets will definitely be aligned for this one!

Planets Align for the Perseid Meteor Shower on Thurs., August 12th at Night

Afternoon NEw!

Thought I'd go down memory lane today, to the time when our summers were warm, with just enough rainfall and our yards would remain a lushful green. Feel ancient yet? LOL's! Well, it's just about six more weeks till fall, so hopefully, things will improve by then.

Hope your mid-work-week is a good one!

THIS OLE TUNE NEEDS REVISING ALONG WITH OUR YARDS! LOL'S!

Hi,Alley, its been a strange pattern this summer, areas not too far from me have had a series of heavy rain,it seems the storms that do come through new england have been tracking the same path,so it's a matter of the haves and have nots.

Good morning NEW...I know what its like, not getting much rain in this area either. Everything is so bone dry and I refuse to water anything outside. Have held off cutting the front yard till closer to the wknd when this heat moves out of the area for a few days.

The lake up where I use to live near North Bay, Ontario (many yrs ago)is at its lowest in years. Docks are high and dry and you have to walk out quit a distance before you reach water. Lake Nipissing is a fairly shallow lake but this is really bad. I am sure the Great Lake system is suffering as well.

Well dear one, hope you are having a better day today. Keep smiling...it will make your boss wonder what mischief you are getting into...LOL
