gloomy tropical day

walk out of the house today,it's like you walked into a sauna.Very tropical feel today as a front and a low move through the area.Still saying that some areas will experience heavy downpours,I haven't had much, maybe .25 last night and today so far.Not much change in the pattern into next week, with warm and humid air with weak fronts passing every couple of days. This is summer and after our cool summer last year,I kind of expected this. Now all we need is a hurricane, which I also expect this year.Sorry had to mention that, maybe we will luck out and miss it,but I suspect we will get one this year.

Hi again NEw!

Boy, Smithfield, RI certainly has had it's share of flooding rains this year!! YIKES!

Glad to see we're not included in that weather watch any more! Cool, humid and drizzley is just fine with me.

On another note, thought you might like to view some unique cleverly done music posted by Weatheringpoints on Emmy's blog for your summer and gardening pleasure. Hope you enjoy it as the end of your training day draws near.

Pat,
We can never compete with NOLA,but this is the first day in 10 days ,that we haven't hit 90.Wouldn't call it comfortable sleeping weather, the air is saturated.
No complaints about this weather, love it and we all know its around for a very short time.
Mass, you are so right, all I have to think about is walking Prince when that wind is whipping around and the temp is struggling to reach 20,although Prince would rather that weather.
Yep,Vacation!!!!!!!!Soon!!!!!!!!!

Afternoon NEw!

You know, Pat, and all those who live in the South, will always trump us when it comes to heat and humidity. At least, currently it's 71F and lightly raining instead of thundering and flooding as originally predicted. Truthfully, I'd rather contend with a 70F dewpoint than deal with the dead of a freezing New England winter any day!

Hope your training sessions are going well this week and, just think, only 2-1/2 days till VACATION!!
