Our first Tropical system of the season is poised to hit the northern coast of Mexico, just below Brownsville. The main impact will be the heavy rain, but with any tropical system,if this reaches hurricane strength there will be some wind and possibility of tornadoes. As far as Texas goes the Brownsville areas seems to be the biggest impact area.
Currently heading nnw,it is still expected to start curving NW and eventually westward. With any tropical system, nothing is written in stone. In any case its expected to dump a lot of rain in southern texas and eventually up through the central part of Texas into the mid section of the country.
Our weather here in the norteast is quiet, still warm today a little less humid as a secondary cold front passes through and tonight it will become much drier and cooler for the rest of the week. Yesterday severe weather potential never materialize except for Conn. RI and SE Mass had a severe storm move through. Only a slight chance of th strm or shower today.

Good Morning NEw!

So glad those potentially serious storms, predicted yesterday, never materialized our way! Rhode Island and parts of the Cape certainly got clobbered. This year has certainly been wrought with serious weather worries for many. Hoping some miracles can be had in reducing the impact of T.S. Alex on TX/MX and the GOM. It's impossible for one to turn their back on this situation.

Seems this holiday weekend is shaping up to be beautiful around here with temps in the 80's on Sat. and Sun. Will be nice when attending a neighbor's cookout this Sat. Just realized, too, that this will possibly make another three-day weekend for you as well since Monday is designated as a work holiday! YEAH! (?)

Hope your boss is consumed with enough other work this week rather than pouncing on you and co-workers. May you have a good day!
