September 19 10:30 Beijing time.Reporting from Xiamen.Typhoon Fanapi is but hours away from landfall....now its sunny with a few clouds over head, and gentle sea breezes.From the satellite imagery it is seen that Fanapi is a tightly packed small typhoon. Looks like my typhoon coffee wakeup is looking to be a good one.Its been a good 3 years since I had a serious storm to report on and today, well, I am happy to be writing this note.Two storms at bay...Lionrock and Namtheun are presently pounding Xiamen's coastline.What will happen when these two storms meet and greet this eve....remains to be seen.I am hoping that when these two storms merge something bigger will come of it.I will be going out tonight for research p...
