Good evening everyone.

I have been thinking for far too long to take this step. I have been a wunderground member for nearly 3 years by this April 22. It was on April 22, 2011 when I first joined.

It's time to reveal the new me, the personality that many of you know.
I'm starting the long ride once again, from zero but with the personal touch I was never able to obtain while being called by the other handle trHUrrIXC5MMX.

I'll be transferring everything to my very new blog. Everything will start again.
I'll be a matter is some days for everyone to know and remember who I am.

Say good bye to trHUrrIXC5MMX This guy did enough damage around here already

Try signing out & then back in..

Just started looking over the coming season yesterday.. Intensity is a total wild card for me at the moment.. globally we are seeing some more intense storms than the last year or too but they come in streaks with lulls between. The last month they've been the flash & fade variety if they do get intense..

Hey Skye... you rock!!!
it worked!

Im not too sure about the intensity for storm this year especially being under El Nino either but Im going into some, minimal, major hurricane strength.
As we know it's not going to be everywhere for the conditions to be ideal for this.

I just thought on stopping by, dropping it off by your front door and leaving... I wouldn't want to bother your family having me there

So long, Ingrid and Manuel. You've been retired.

noaa news article

The World Meteorological Organization’s (WMO) hurricane committee announced today it will no longer use the name Ingrid for future tropical storms or hurricanes in the Atlantic, and the name Manuel in the eastern North Pacific, because of the death and destruction both storms caused in Mexico in September 2013.

The WMO will replace Ingrid with “Imelda” and Manuel with “Mario” when the 2013 lists are reused in 2019.

SO much better. Not sure why they weren't doing this all along!

They still need to find a way to sway the regular public from labeling danger based on wind speeds.

There has to be a multi-headed storm rating.

Surge: 4
Wind: 1
Rain: 2

Total: 7

Something like that.

Otherwise the general public will still say things like "Oh, winds are only 75mph, it's not going to do anything really."

And then you get Sandy's storm surge....

Saffir Simpson scale is archaic and needs to be replaced.

I remember so many oddball comments out there.

"Katrina is down to 135mph and that's on the right side of the storm. New Orleans dodges another bullet."

"Ike is down to 110 and weakening and looks real run down on satellite. It's not going to be that big of a deal for Texas."

"Sandy only has 75mph winds and I heard it's not even going to be a hurricane when it gets here."

...It's just sad watching that happen.

Liz - yes its me. Actually its easier for someone to forge my last handle since it's very complex. MaxWeather cant get any easier for people to remember. I had n mind calling it MaxWeather2011 since it was in 2011 when I joined.

Hey Barb ... its a big sacrifice doing this as I start from zero again. I just couldn't rename my handle here.
