* at 607 PM CDT... radar indicated a severe thunderstorm... capable of
producing quarter size hail and damaging winds of 60 mph. This
storm was located near New Trier... or about 16 miles west of Red
Wing... and moving east at 15 mph.

New Trier...
Cannon Falls...
Miesville...
Welch...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If you are in the path of this storm... prepare immediately for
damaging winds in excess of 60 mph and large hail. Seek shelter now

thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail... and damaging
winds of 60 mph. This storm was located near Edina... or 8 miles
southwest of Minneapolis... moving east at 15 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Minneapolis... Bloomington... Richfield and Twin Cities Airport.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging wind in excess of 60 miles per
hour... large hail... and deadly lightning. For your protection move to
an interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business.

* until 830 PM CDT

* at 535 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across the advisory area.
Drivers should be alert to standing water on roadways as an inch
or so of rain falls in less than an hours time.

* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause minor flooding to
occur... especially along small streams and near low water
crossings. Some locations that will experience minor flooding
include... Minneapolis... St Paul... Bloomington... Edina... Falcon
Heights... Inver Grove Heights... Lake Elmo... Lauderdale...
Lilydale... Little Canada... Maplewood... Mendota Heights... Newport...

At 403 PM CDT... Weather Service radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Hanover. This storm was moving east at 20 mph.
This storm will be tracking across northrn Hennepin County between
410 and 500 PM.

Hail up to dime size and winds up to 40 mph are expected with this
storm.
