Spent some of the morning at Fort Vancouver. It's less than a mile from my new apartment. I cannot wait to get my SLR, so I decided to go enjoy my Sony Cyber Shot.
While walking around the outside of the post complex, the maintenance guy Fred invited me into the Red Cross Building. Then he gave me a map of the base to show me which of the building are open to the public.
Just when I think I have figured out how to upload the photos to my blog....they change the procedures! I have posted them in my photo section. I will bring them to the blog when I figure it out...again.

I always use the right click, copy url, paste into image tab method. It is by far the easiest way to do it in my opinion....
Any update on the camera?
I treated myself to a set of lenses for my Panasonic. UV, polarizing and an FLD filter, (to balance light from fluorescent light sources). I love the polarising filter, and will be playing with it, once the sun shines!!
Have a great weekend :)
I look forward to taking these same photos again once I get the new camera.
I saw a lot yesterday, but I purposely left a lot left to see.
Yeah!!
I have a pretty pink point and shoot....not many fellas would be seen dead with a pink camera it I love it!!
I have had my Canon three years and I am still learning how to use it, so that is why I use my Panasonic so much - the automatic setting works every time!!
Wishing you a very happy Saint Patrick's Day :-)
This was a crazy week for our family. 18th was Wee Little Lass' 5th birthday party.
The evening of the 19th, her paternal Grandmother/sitter went into the hospital. (the doctors are still trying to figure the cause)
20, 21,22, my father and I watched Wee little man and Wee little lass. Little Man was sick most of the first day, so he slept a lot with his jiggy pa.
the 21st was also the day I picked up my camera, but didn't have the energy to unpack it and start playing with it until today (23rd). It will be a long work week this week and the weather will be a mess...I think of this as an opportune time to read the manuals on how to use the camera.
This week was the first day of spring here in the Pacific Northwest, but Old Man Weather refused to pack up and leave. We were down near freezing and will have a relatively cold day. I think the cherry blossoms will be confused here soon.
Back to the books.. (Nikon d3200 for Dummies)
How is the instruction booklet doing...any wiser! I still need to go back and re- read my Canon booklet. It is so long since I used it, I have forgotten how to!! Lol
Wee little Lass is so light weight. I pick her brother up, then her and send her through the roof. He is solid mass, and she is hollow inside. LOL!
I am not sure I understand the specifics of the camera yet, but I can turn it on! LOl!
I was telling a friend at work about the virtual vacation. I am beginning to think that it is about time for another. I thought about Italy, but most of the posts for there are in Italian and I don't understand it.
It's a lot of work, but so much fun.
I am chatting to another WU friend in French! I can't speak French, only understand one or two words, but for several months I have read his replies and answered them in French. I use BING translator. It is so easy. I copy what he has said, paste it into BING and then answer in English, and then copy the French translation into his blog! We have had lots of fun with the odd words that don't translate!!
My great nephew and niece are just the same. She is five and small and light, he is nearly three and weighs a ton! He has broken more bones than any other child I know! He dislocated his shoulder by falling off a swing/slide last week and didn't even cry! The child is a real "tom boy" ....his name? ....He is called Tom!!! lol
Right now I am dealing with a painful respiratory tract infection. Being down for the count, won't be planning any virtual vacations anytime soon.

PS, If I am not back before Easter... Happy Easter to all!
Hope you soon feel better... curl up with a hot drinks and the Nikon manual until you feel better!
Wishing you a very Happy April the First!
Hope you are feeling better!
It was a very quiet Easter around here. My sinuses were so painful that I couldn't watch TV nor read. I spent a lot of time with the curtains closed, and sleeping in the upright position in my living room chair. Yesterday was the first day I could watch TV and have the curtains open. PLUS, last night was the first night in like four or five nights that I actually slept in my bed!!!
I might even go to the mall to walk around today. It has been really nice out for the last seven days, but today, it's raining. :-(
Ms. Sandi, I hope you had a very special Easter. Easter Blessings to you.
Have a good weekend, if you can. How is the Nikon ?
I met a Vietnam Vet while walking along the sandy shores. We talked for a little while, I thanked him for his service and he told me of another little park along the Columbia River.
After a short walk, I decided to wait for a warmer day without a threat of rain. Just getting some ideas of places to go when the weather is more inviting....and I am not recovering from a cold.
Have a "better" week:)
Hope so - Have a good week!
Tomorrow after work my brother will bring Allie by, she'll spend the night and we will take an early roll out to get some sunrise shots. location is yet to be determined. I haven't posted any pix yet because I haven't been home long enough to do the job - plus, every time I try to upload lately, it seems that I have to relearn how to do the job. Aggravating!!
Like you I am out again tonight - this week is turning into a whirlwind - I have been out more than I have been in!
On FB, my Aunt thinks my sunrise photos are paintings or artwork. Not sure that's a compliment, but I will take it as such. LOL.
Her posts always confuse me. Makes me wonder what's going on in her crazy little noggin.
