Animals, weather and stories
HI WUFRIENDS!
I watched a little doggie die on a heap of trash in India, many years ago. I will never forget that dog. I caressed it and cried my eyes out. But, before the light in his eyes grew dim, he saw and felt my Love. And I was forever changed.
EVERY ACTION OF OUR LIVES TOUCHES ON SOME CHORD THAT WILL VIBRATE IN ETERNITY.
When we help those who suffer, we may never know the results, but one thing is sure: We are making this world a better place - and I wanna be part of it.

-Helped protect 11.4 square feet of rainforest habitat for wildlife.

WHY CLICK? Because of this story:
A man walked along the shore scattered with thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a storm. A young boy was picking them up, one by one, and throwing them back into the ocean. "Why bother?" asked the man. "You're not saving enough to make a difference". The boy picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back into the water. "Made a difference to that one", he replied.

My old blog had a plea for passing the word around on behalf of two senior dogs, MAX & JOHNNY, who needed a home. Thank you, all you angels, who cared and shared their story. I GOT GREAT NEWS TODAY...
A wonderful lady adopted them both! Now they are happy, running and playing with her young puppy on a green lawn. This made my day, my week, my month... and will be one of the best news of this YEAR OF THE DRAGON!
THERE ARE ANGELS AMONG US - DISGUISED AS "NORMAL" PEOPLE... They care, they make things happen. They save lives. Like PORTLIGHT. Check them to see how they do it - THEY ROCK!

Life is precious and laughter prolongs life. Here are a couple of timeless "pearls"...
THANK YOU FOR VISITING - YOUR COMMENTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

Okay,
I don't usually watch stuff like that because it damages my calm, but you said "wonderful story" so I did.
So great that Fiona was rescued and found folks to love her.

People who abuse animals should be ????? (fill in the blank) I know you are a more "peaceful" person than I am but I have low tolerance for people like that.

I just did my food click. so easy to feed the animals that way.
I was looking around and saw the info about the Monarch Butterflies being in danger?
Really have a hard time beliving that. I have swarms of them in my garden. I buy milkweed and other plants/flowers they like and have them growing all the time. My plants get bare from all the monarch caterpillars...
The grandkids and I sometimes will take the caterpillars and put them in the butterfly hatchery and watch them make chrylis and hatch and then let them go.
I read somewhere else about how rare they are in Florida... well who ever wants to see them needs to come visit me; most of the year I have them.
and the Zebra butterfly caterpillar eats up all my parsley and dill! I alway grow enough to share. LOL
You have a wonderful weekend.
Have a Blessed and Happy Easter Weekend!

Hyvää Pääsiäistä!!
You know we are more cat people than dog people, in that we live with cats and enjoy our doggie neighbors. Neither we could do without as they are life-sustaining and enriching. I saw a beautiful grey and white kitty yesterday jumping down from neighbor stairs into the bushes. I went and set on the stoop hoping to entice her out but that did not occur. I sense that we will have a new kitty come to us soon. Such that every one I pass I think, are you the one? Silliness. Joy. Love. And that's what I share with you.
I had some caterpillars in my tomatoes a few years ago, freaked out and threw them in the lake :( Now I know better.
Huripoetfriend, glad to hear your hearts and home is open to a new family member. Please post pics when he/she gets settled... ok? What would we do without our pawfriends... Max & Sophie have been with us for six years now. To the exact date! We brought them home from the shelter on April 8th 2006. What a blessing that decision has been!
Hoping that I don't have any to feed them this year!
Just checking in wondering how you are doing.
Thanks for making it so easy for us.
Happy Friday!
(I just deleted a tornado watch that was posted here, so nobody gets confused:)
Has been raining nicely!
I'm off to Finland this evening, been invited to host a meditation retreat and I have to do lots of other stuff too, back in two weeks.
Stay safe and be happy :)
Good to seeya m'friend!
Well, the two of us have become 'those strange cat people'. Sad, I know. We have four feral cats around us. A friend was able to snag one of them -- Rascal -- and carried him down for the once-a-month-vet-visit to get him neutered. He's adopted us, and we feed alla them, in addition to our baby, Nico. Nico is cool with Rascal, but not with any of the others.
Honestly, I don't blame Nico. Rascal seems to have some modicum of manners, but the rest are just selfish beasts; no sniff noses, no rolling on their backs, nothing to indicate any desire to get along whatsoever. Apalling. It's like they were born in a barn.
Not only that, the three wild cats don't seem to care for me firing up the amp and guitar and rockin' the bush.
No shame to it, I guess; just a matter of not being raised properly.
