Michigan Mishaps

Twas the Witch of November Come Stealin'

Greetings, Bloggers and Bloggettes!

LakeEffectBro here with another Michigan meteorological mishap! For those who don't have television or radio but frequently check weather blogs, today was an odd, odd day of weather.

First, the thunder. OH the thunder! It was louder and stronger than a Lake Michigan lighthouse horn. But, we here in Michigan take any chance we have to get out and enjoy the warmth before the tenacious spell of winter cold sets in. Today we ran around in the driving sheets of rain- and the wind that struck with such a tremendous bellow that it could kill a senior citizen in a matter of seconds.

We escaped the cold air following the front by jumping in a hot tub and riding out the wind and rain cozied in the warmth in a bowl of dirty water.

But, all good things must end, and the cold air is probably here to stay. As is well and right I suppose. We Michiganders, who celebrate Canadian holidays, expect the Canadian Thanksgiving in mid-October to be warm and pleasant, but our patriotic American counterpart should be snowy and white. What else makes turkey more delicious than the feeling of eating it beside a warm, flickering fire?

Ta-ta for now, and beware the Witch of November- if she can sink a ship, she can kill you!
