Good morning folks! A great morning for Colts and AFC fans! :-) I'm not even a sports fan and I thought it was a pretty exciting game!
The weather isn't so exciting this week. Models shw a zonal (W-E) pattern is setting up for most of the week and I wouldn't expect to see much in the way of weather with the pattern. There is still some moisture flow from the Gulf into N FL but little precip with it. It's mainly a cloud producer which will be enough to moderate high temps today across much of the eastern Gulf Coast states today. But even the cloud cover is expected to erode tomorrow and that cold high pressure dome over the SE US will begin to modify allowing for warming temps through the week.
The next significant weather feature shown on the models is a shortwave trough moving in that zonal flow out of N Mexico on Thursday bu even with that, upper level moisture values don't increase a lot so most NWS offices along the coast are only going for a slight increase in rain chances for Thursday and into Friday. Models also show a cold front for next weekend but I never put to much stock in the models beyond 3-5 days. So we'll just wait and see how persistant they are with that over the week,
Have a great week!!!
