I was an AF aviation weather forecaster for 12 years, then 15 years as a dropsonde systems operator with the AF Reserve Hurricane Hunters.

Things are fairly quiet in the tropics at the moment. NHC is tracking a disturbance in the eastern Caribbean but at the moment, development is not expected.
I'm in Guam in the western Pacific for the next three weeks taking part in a tropical weather research project. So far, the Pacific has been as quiet as the Atlantic so we're waiting for something to fly.
I'll be sure to post pictures as I take them and I'll keep you posted on our work here. I'll also keep an eye on the Atlantic Basin and post updates as needed.
