Warning: Big rant follows...

Sometimes I feel like I am slamming my head up against a brick wall. While I do agree with a great many of their traditional ways and values, anyone that has tried to talk to a conservative minded person about the dangers and causes of AGW can probably agree at just how misinformed that these people are on this topic. Liberals absolutely infuriate me sometimes with their big government wants and welfare minded politics, but they are definitely right about one thing, humans are geoengineering our atmosphere with potentially very dire consequences. With wanting to preserve an old way of life, I just don't understand how another conservative can not get that our climate is warming, especially when there is so much scientific data and observation to prove that it is really happening.

Why can't they look outside of the box on this important issue?

Is it because liberals have made it their own issue and they are too afraid to have a look at it for fear that it goes against party policy?

Why does Al Gore keep pushing for lower emissions when the better choice would be to develop Carbon Sequestration technologies and use that CO2 in production of hydrocarbons for fuel in order to achieve a balance? Both technologies exist but need to be further developed into a business model and would solve our warming problem before Methane up welling further complicates things.

Is it going to take 10 to 20 more years on the path we are going before I can say, "See I told you so, you should have listened." before other conservatives wake up?

If you have any thoughts or input on the matter, please feel free to leave a reply below. Thank you for your time.

Years ago I used to watch Fox News but that was until I got fed up with all of the Right leaning commentary and denial of global warming. CNN was still a relatively unbiased network at the time so that is where I began to get the majority of my news information... how things change over the years. CNN is perhaps one of the most biased networks out there today. Often I have seen interviews with representatives from both parties where the Liberal is allowed to speak f...

Having lived most of my life in regions a good distance away from the coast, I've had to worry about tornadoes and winter storms but hurricanes have been the least of my concerns. Well... that's not exactly the truth. In 2004 I was stationed at Ft. Belvoir, VA as a Medic for the Dewitt ARMY Community Hospital ER. Many folks in the Mid-Atlantic remember an especially nasty storm that year which made landfall in North Carolina and tracked up into Virginia. Isabel made...
