Do I show signs of Aspergers?

This has nothing to do with weather, but I don't care.

So, yeah. Topic/blog title. Opine me. I'm strongly leaning toward yes, and for what it's worth, two of my friends both say I exhibit all the classical symptoms of Asperger's, but at the lower end of the spectrum. The guy friend is engaged to someone who has Asperger's, so they're not talking out of their ass.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Particularly those that know me well... based on what you've seen of me on the blogs (bearing in mind my internet persona is literally no different than it is real life... that's a farce I have no intention of erecting)... do I show these symptoms to you guys as well?

Medical Definition of ASPERGER'S SYNDROME

: a developmental disorder resembling autism that is characterized by impaired social interaction, by repetitive patterns of behavior and restricted interests, by normal language and cognitive development, and often by above average performance in a narrow field against a general background of deficient functioning—called also Asperger's disorder

Sometimes we try to repeat what we had to say to stress an important point. KM you are still young. Enjoy life and enjoy the blog. You can start by focusing on something that interests you. If you see my blog it is not much of a blog at all they are of anything that i just think i wanna put it there and I read them again and again and sing with the karaoke when i have time. But of course I never forget to be on topic (The Weather) Little by little I learned how to put some things by asking some friends or asking Mr google. I enjoy reading other people's blog and learn about their weather and what's going on around the world. Here in this blog nobody is going to be lonely as long as they learn to read from blogs to blogs. Especially Dr. Jeff's. He got some good stuff as well as the others. all are having good and interesting topic. Do not worry about what others tell you. Just because they said so - it does not mean it is true. However, If ever it is true, do not worry about it Life is good no matter what. Make the best out of it. Life is short so enjoy it. Choose to be happy, Be good, Be stress free and say "all is well". It is a wonderful wold! have a nice day^_^ do not forget to give someone a smile today.

before believing any of these non medical opinions if you want to know wither you do or not .. go to your family doctor and get a true diagnosis ..

That will be the only way you will ever truly know !!

Check out "Self-Diagnosis", the definition , in Wikipedia. I know its not the best source, but it's basically saying there are pluses and minuses in doing so.

Showing "classical symptoms of Asperger's, but at the lower end of the spectrum" does not mean you have the Syndrome. It just means that some traits of yours are similar to those of Asperger's.

Just like I show signs of autism, but I don't have the actual disorder.

This.

Otherwise, no. At least from my understanding of the Wikipedia entry on it.

Hah.

I should note I don't care if I have this condition. I've embraced that the social paradigm isn't for me. I was just eager to hear some opinions.

Thanks for posting!
