Why is dry wit so incomprehensible to people?

I'm lucky enough that most of my friends understand it, but I still get the occasional straggler who doesn't. In fact, I even had one particular friend tell me "It's hard to tell when you're being serious or if you're just joking; it's a good thing I've gotten to know you."

I always wonder if my humor is off-putting to some, even my friends. Oh well, can't apologize for being me, now can I?

There once was a young man named Kori
Who wrote down a sardonic story.
He said with a smile,
I'll keep blogging awhile
I have more in my inventory!

Intelligent people have more zinc and copper in their hair.
I took zinc two years ago; 50 mg a day. End result was zinc toxicity. My blood was more anemic than all of the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season!

"Lol, British Islands issued tropical storm warning in advance of Cat. 3 Brianna. ROFLMAO."-National Hurricane Center-Forecaster Koritheman.

What's wrong with my avatar? It's the exemplary avatar; a character, albeit fictitious, that describes my known but nonchalant attitude toward social awkwardness.

I could always go with Darth Sidious since I'm on a Star Wars kick right now. Unlimited power and all that.

LOL. I figure it'll just take the next crop of meteorologists to get there before it starts happening. Probably start using text speak too.

Riding behind the DDT Mosquito Fog Trucks on our Schwinn Bikes in the 60's gave us super dry wit powers, but the Cancer rate, aye, aye, aye.

Dry wit is incomprehensible to the lesser people, Kori. Not everyday are they stunned by pure genius.

Keep on going, you're doing fine.

About KoritheMan

I'm just a 23 year old with an ardent passion for weather. I first became aware of this interest after Tropical Storm Isidore struck my area in 2002.
