We have been experiencing some very hot days here in Indiana this past week with temperatures hitting 95 degrees and heat indexes pushing 110. I took this picture of the squirrel on a hot afternoon, as he was trying to stay cool while relaxing in the shade of the tree. I notified CNN News and uploaded this photo. CNN called me on the phone and they really liked the shot as it says it all, and they asked permission to run the photo on their tv programs, which I agreed to. As of Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 2 the photo is still on CNN News web page. . . It was a great honor to have them choose my photo.
