20 minutes after I posted previous to this one, the Sun came out in all its morning glory! Now it remains to be seen as to how long it will remain visible!

There was not much rain..only 2/10ths of an inch over the 24 hour period but just enough to maintain moisture levels adequately after I had give the entire property a good soaking irrigation. The strong trades are producing light rainshowers against the mountains so it will rain up higher but not down here at a mere 550 feet elevation. These winds are supposed to continue through the weekend and, from what I can see upstream, not too much blue sky today.

It has been sunny and warm all day with brisk Trades. My cats spent the whole day out on their screened-in lanai lalligaging (sp?) and rolling around on the concrete.I tried to post a pic of my felines in here but, for some reason, it didn't work. I've had problems posting photos here over the years and have pretty much decided that I will save photos for my Facebook page.

They usually start out by racing/chasing from one end of the house to the other and back. That goes on for about an hour before they wear out and take a nap!The humans have to be very careful d...

That brought the total for this week to nearly 2" in just two days which is just about right tho a bit higher than normal for this time of year.I'm not complaining! I was able to do less outdoors and get more done indoors in preparation for the forthcoming potluck gathering of my Big Island Self Sufficiency group that will be taking place here at my home on June 25th! Next Thursday I see the new ortho surgeon here in Hilo and, hopefully, he will schedule me for hi...
