Three tenths of an inch. Just enough to wet the upper layers of the soil. I had given the whole property a good irrigation early Saturday morning so last night's bit means that I won't have to do irrigation again until tomorrow morning if there is no rain until then.

There has been no rain since I returned from O'ahu on Tuesday night.So it is irrigate, irrigate, irrigate for me! Good exercise!

After 8 days on what I have come to call 'The Anthill' of O'ahu, I was sure glad to see Hilo appear out of the window of the Hawaiian Airlines plane that brought me back to home turf. The trades are diminishing somewhat but it is still a bit more breezy than usual. It is supposed to diminish to nothing tomorrow with the possibility of some rain showers in the offing. It would appear, from the upwind area satellite images that we will indeed see an uptick in precip.

A very uneventful flight with lots of space on the plane which is unusual! The weather here is great tho the trades have been very brisk with a lot of sea spray making for a hazy sky. Good for the surfers as 6+ ft waves are rather unusual at this time of year.I will not be returning to Hilo until Wednesday the 16th as I have much to do here on this visit.
