New Year's Eve

It was dry but VERY noisy here in Waiakea Uka. It was the smokiest, loudest since those of the 60s in Honolulu. I wish they'd ban fireworks for personal use.

Whether they're allowed here depends on the weather - none this year, because of drought. Ironically, the commercial show got cancelled because of rain!

There are pretty strict limitations on what can be used, though. I don't know fireworks, but I know that they try and prevent use of the things that can land on someone's roof and set the house on fire. I was always a sparkler fan, myself. ;)

Happy New Year! It was quiet here at midnight, but then again, it was 9 degrees. Much too cold to go outside and act like an idiot. Hope this year is much better than the last. Especially for my son. Good wishes to all.
