WX Station Status

By: KC7MRQ, 8:41 PM GMT on January 08, 2014

It's been almost five years since upgrading to a Davis WX station with an WeatherlinkIP adapter. The system is working flawlessly and am glad I made the decision to move away from Oregon Scientific products.

I hope to add a weather cam this year and point it east toward the Mission Mountains. It depends on finding a camera location and how I decide to interface into my network.

As always, real time data can be viewed here:

Outdoor Humidy Sensor

By: KC7MRQ, 1:48 PM GMT on August 02, 2008

It appears the outdoor humidity sensor does not measure the full range of humidity anymore. the manual specifies the range to read 2-98% HR, however the max range is now 11-76%. I am in contact with Oregon Scientific to receive a replacement. Station #1

A Nice Sunset

By: KC7MRQ, 12:43 AM GMT on January 16, 2007

Good evening all. Tonight provided a decent sunset for this frigid afternoon. A skiff of snow was received this weekend and provided enough to turn everything white.A new ultra cold weather has been ordered to handle temperatures down to -40f. Keep warm and dry.Station #1

It is COLD!!!!!!!!

By: KC7MRQ, 12:45 PM GMT on January 12, 2007

It is 0540 and thank my lucky stars the truck is plugged in. For all of you that are cold weather illiterate, that means my engine block heater is running to aid in cold weather starts. My outdoor temperature sensor seems to be reading a little higher than neighboring stations. I am assuming that means the temperature is exceeding the lower temperature sensor limitations. I will be ordering a new EXTREME COLD sensor today to tackle the blistery cold Montana mornings....
