Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 40 and it feels like 40. Highs will continue to range between 38 and 64 with lows between 22 and 46. There is a 100% chance of rain/wind today. Winds today will be out of the North at 17mph with higher gusts, and out of the North-Northwest at 18mph with higher gusts tomorrow. Heavy rainfall of 2-4 inches is expected with locally 4+ inches possible. Another round of winter weather is expected this evening through tomorrow morning. Little to no accumulations are expected across North MS. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 39 and it feels like 33. Todays high is 42 and a low of 26 with an 80% chance of rain/wind with winds out of the North-Northeast at 18mph with higher gusts. Wednesdays high is 37 with winds out of the North at 19mph with higher gusts.
Now, for your severe/winter weather update for the Southeast Region. Could see severe weather potential around December 4th-8th, and around December 11th. Could see winter weather potential around December 8th-11th.
Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, all is quiet with no development expected over next couple of days. In the Eastern Pacific, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days. In the Western Pacific, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days. In the North Indian Ocean, Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Lehar has winds of 85mph with a pressure of 982hPa. Movement is West-Northwest at 10mph. Lehar is expected to become a category 2 storm by this afternoon. Is expected to make landfall on the coast of Eastern India by late Wednesday/early Thursday. In the Southern Hemisphere, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days.
