Snow later today into early Friday morning, Strong to severe storms this weekend

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 32 and it feels like 32. There is a slight chance of rain today, a 70% chance of thundershowers tomorrow, and a 60% chance of showers on Saturday. Some storms could be strong to severe from Friday through Sunday. Threats tomorrow will be for quarter to golf ball size hail and heavy rainfall. Threats for Saturday into early Sunday will be for large hail, damaging winds, few tornadoes, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding. Highs will continue to range between 53 and 68 with lows between 31 and 53. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 31 and it feels like 24. Todays high is 53 and a low of 38 with a slight chance of rain. Fridays high is 50 with a 70% chance of thundershowers.

Now, for your Severe Weather Update for the Southeast Region. There could be severe weather potential around March 21st-24th, around March 29th-April 2nd, and around April 4th-5th.

Some snow flurries will be possible across North MS later today into early Friday. Little to no accumulations are expected, though some counties near the Tennessee/MS border may see a dusting.
