Rain today and tomorrow, strong to severe storms possible

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 53 and it feels like 53. Highs will continue to range between 48 and 76 with lows between 27 and 59. There is an 80% chance of rain today and a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms tomorrow. Some storms could be strong to severe with large hail, damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, heavy rain of 1-3 inches with isolated amounts of 3+ inches possible, and flash flooding. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 52 and it feels like 52. Todays high is 58 and a low of 55 with a 100% chance of rain. Thursdays high is 71 with a 60% chance of thundershowers.

Now, for your Winter/Severe Weather Update for the Southeast Region. There could be severe weather potential possibly around January 12th-16th, and 21st-23rd.
