Cold weather ahead, Tony dissipates, Sandy weakens, but still poses major threat

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 55 and it feels like 55. Highs will continue to range between 58 and 73 with lows between 35 and 48. There is a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms today. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 57 and it feels like 57. Todays high is 63 and a low of 43 with a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms. Saturdays high is 61.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, Hurricane Sandy has weakened some. Winds are at 80mph with a pressure of 968mbars. Movement is Northwest at 13mph. Hurricane Warning is in effect for the Northern Bahamas. Tropical Storm Watch is up for South Florida, the Florida/Georgia Border, and from South Carolina to North Carolina coastline. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for most of the East Coast of Florida, for the Southern Bahamas, and for the Turks/Caicos. Sandy is expected to head Northward toward the Bahamas and the East Coast. Also, in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Tony dissipated yesterday. In the Eastern Pacific, all is quiet.
