Good Afternoon! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 75 and it feels like 75. Highs will continue to range between 58 and 83 with lows between 41 and 58. No rain over the next couple of days. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 75and it feels like 75. Todays high is 78 with a low of 52. Mondays high is 81.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, a broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave is producing a large area of showers and thunderstorms over the Central Caribbean Sea. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for the formation of a tropical depression during the next couple of days. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a high chance, 70%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves slowly Westward and becomes nearly stationary well South of Jamaica. Also, in the Atlantic, a tropical wave interacting with an upper-level low is producing a small area of showers and a few thunderstorms over the Central Atlantic about 850 miles East-Northeast of the Leeward Islands. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for some development before upper-level winds strengthen on Tuesday. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 30%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves Northwestward to North-Northwestward at about 10mph. In the Eastern Pacific, disorganized showers and thunderstorms continue in association with an elongated area of low pressure located a few hundred miles South of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Development, if any, of this system is expected to be slow to occur as it moves little during the next day or two. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 10%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Hope yall are having a great Sunday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning.
