Rain/storms later today, Rafael intensifys some, Tropical Storm Paul forms

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 68 and it feels like 68. Highs will continue to range between 67 and 81 with lows between 44 and 56. There is a 60% chance of PM thunderstorms today. Some storms could be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Dr. Greg Forbes, the severe weather expert at The Weather Channel, is giving North MS a TOR:CON (Tornado Condition Index) of a 2 to 3 tomorrow. This means that there is a 20 to 30% chance of seeing a tornado within a 50% mile radius. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 68 and it feels like 68. Todays high is 78 and a low of 54 with a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms/wind. Mondays high is 74.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Rafael has intensify a bit. Winds are at 50mph with a pressure of 1003mbars. Movement is North-Northwest at 13mph. Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for the Northern Leeward Islands. Expected to become a hurricane by Monday afternoon as it heads towards Bermuda then Canada. In the Eastern Pacific, Tropical Storm Paul has formed. Winds are at 50mph with a pressure of 1001mbars. Movement is West at 9mph. Expected to head toward the Baja California Peninsula and may become a hurricane by late tonight.

Thanks Johnny, boy that is really a "right sided storm", islands to it's left, or west, hardly know it's there.
