Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Rafael has formed. Winds are at 40mph with a pressure of 1006mbars. Movement is Northwest at 9mph. Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for the Lesser Antilles and Leeward Islands. Tropical Storm Watch is also in effect for Puerto Rico. Also, in the Atlantic, we now have Tropical Depression Patty. Winds are at 35mph with a pressure of 1008mbars. Movement is stationary. Should dissipate later today. In the Eastern Pacific, satellite data indicate that the low pressure area located about 550 miles South of the Southern Tip of Baja California is becoming better defined. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for a tropical depression to form during the next day or so as the low moves Westward at 10-15mph.The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a high chance, 70%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
