Good morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 54 and it feels like 54. Highs will continue to range between 83 and 86 with lows between 57 and 66. No rain over the next couple of days. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 59 and it feels like 59. Todays high is 83 with a low of 58. Tuesdays high is 86.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, we have Tropical Storm Leslie. Winds are at 60mph with a pressure of 988mbars. Movement is North-Northeast at 16mph. Headed toward Canada. A Tropical Storm Watch and Hurricane Watch is in effect for parts of Newfoundland. Also, in the Atlantic, we have Hurricane Michael. Winds are at 80mph with a pressure of 987mbars. Movement is West at 7mph. No threat to land. In the Atlantic, showers and thunderstorms associated with a low pressure area located about 675 miles West of the Cape-Verde Islands have become better organized overnight. Environmental conditions appear favorable for additional development and this disturbance is likely to become a tropical depression during the next day or so. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a high chance, 70%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves West-Northwestward at 15-20mph. In the Eastern Pacific, a broad low pressure system located a few hundred miles South-Southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec is producing a large area of disorganized cloudiness and showers. Environmental conditions are conducive for development. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 40%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves West-Northwestward at 10-15mph.

Hope yall are having a great Monday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning.
