Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 73 and it feels like 73. Highs will continue to range between 78 and 94 with lows between 54 and 71. There is a possibility for severe weather later today and Saturday across the South. Main threats will be for damaging winds and large hail. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 75 and it feels like 75. Todays high is 94 with a low of 72. Saturdays high is 78 with a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms and wind.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, we have Hurricane Leslie. Winds are at 75mph with a pressure of 985mbars. Movement is North at 1mph. Headed toward Bermuda. A Tropical Storm Watch is now in effect for Bermuda. Also, in the Atlantic, we have Hurricane Michael. Winds are at 105mph with a pressure of 970mbars. Movement is North at 3mph. No threat to land. In the Atlantic, a nearly stationary area of low pressure located about 60 miles Southeast of the Mouth of the Mississippi River is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms well to the Southwest of the Center. Although, environmental conditions are not expected to become significantly more favorable, there is still some potential for development during the next couple of days. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 30%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Hope yall are having a great Friday and I'll have another post tomorrow.
