Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 75 and it feels like 75. Heat Advisory is in effect until 7pm tonight. Heat index will range between 105 to 109. Highs will continue to range between 77 and 94 with lows between 55 and 72. Slight chance of isolated thunderstorms today and a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms tomorrow. Few storms could be strong to severe today/Thursday with the main threats being large hail and damaging winds up to 60mph. There is a possibility for severe weather on Friday into Saturday across the South. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 76 and it feels like 76. Todays high is 95 and a low of 73 with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. Thursdays high is 93 with a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, we have Tropical Storm Leslie. Winds are at 65mph with a pressure of 992mbars. Movement is North-Northwest at 2mph. Expected to become a hurricane by late Thursday/early Friday morning and headed toward Bermuda. Also, in the Atlantic, we have Tropical Storm Michael. Winds are at 50mph with a pressure of 1005mbars. Movement is North at 5mph. In the Atlantic, an area of low pressure, currently located over Southern Alabama/Western Florida Panhandle, is expected to move generally Southward into the North-Central Gulf of Mexico during the next day or so. Environmental conditions appear marginally conducive for slow development of this disturbance once it moves over water. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 10%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. In the Eastern Pacific, all is quiet.

Hope yall are having a great Wednesday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning.
