Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Gordon dissipated yesterday. Also, in the Atlantic, we now have Tropical Depression Nine. Winds are at 35mph with a pressure of 1007mbars. Movement is West at 20mph. Expected to become a tropical storm later today and then a hurricane by early Thursday morning. Tropical Storm Watches are in effect from Puerto Rico to the Virgin Islands and then from Anguilla to Montserrat. Tropical Storm Warnings in effect for Anguilla and from Barbuda to Dominica. In the Atlantic, showers and thunderstorms located over the Western Gulf of Mexico are associated with an elongated area of low pressure. While shower and thunderstorm activity has diminished over the past few hours, some gradual development of this system is still possible if it remains offshore during the next day or two. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 30%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. In the Atlantic, an area of low pressure has form in association with a tropical wave located between Africa and the Cape Verde Islands. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are showing signs of organization. Further development of this low is possible over the next few days as it moves Westward at 15 to 20mph. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 50%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. In the Eastern Pacific, all is quiet.

Hope yall are having a great Tuesday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning.
