Rain/storms today with some severe weather, next week looks quiet

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 57 and it feels like 57. Highs will continue to range between 74 and 82 with lows between 49 and 60. There is a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms today and tonight. There is a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms on Thursday. A few storms could be strong to severe today. Main threats will be large hail up to the size of golf balls, damaging winds of 60-70mph, and a few tornadoes. A few strong to severe thunderstormns are also possible on Thursday. Main threats will be small hail and gusty winds. Secondary threats today will be heavy rain and flash flooding. Timing of storms today will be from the afternoon through evening. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 62 and it feels like 62. Todays high is 79 with a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms. Tonights low is 59 with a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms. Thursdays high is 73 with a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms.
