Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 56 and it feels like 56. Highs will continue to range between 77 and 85 with lows between 50 and 62. There is a 50% chance of pm thunderstorms today and a 50% chance of thunderstorms early tonight. A few storms could be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats. Secondary threats will be heavy rain and flash flooding. There is a 60% chance of pm thunderstorms on Wednesday. A greater threat for strong to severe is forecasted for Wednesday/Wednesday night. Main threats are: large hail up to golf-ball size or larger, damaging wind gusts of 60-70mph, tornadoes, heavy rainfall of 1-3 inches, and localized flash flooding. The risk for flash flooding may increase as storms may train over the same areas. There is a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms on Thursday. A few storms could be strong to severe with the main threats being large hail and damaging winds. Secondary threats will once again be heavy rain and flash flooding. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 60 and it feels like 60. Todays high is 81 with a 50% chance of pm thunderstorms. Tonights low is 62 with a 50% chance of thunderstorms early. Wednesdays high is 79 with a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms.
