Storms later tonight into Thursday

By: JohnnyParker , 11:55 AM GMT on March 21, 2012

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 64 and it feels like 64. Highs will continue to range between 76 and 85 with lows between 51 and 62. There is an 80% chance of thunderstorms on Thursday and a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms on Friday. A few storms could be severe with the main threats being large hail and damaging winds. However, an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Heavy rains of 1-3 inches with isolated amounts greater than 3 inches is expected. Flash flooding is also possible. Storms could train over the same areas, too. After this system passes through, sunshine and warm temperatures return. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 67 and it feels like 67. Todays high is 83. Tonights low is 60 with an 80% chance of thunderstorms. Thursdays high is 71 with an 80% chance of thunderstorms. Hope yall are having a great Wednesday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning. Continue to pray for the tornado victims and those affected by damaging weather events.

I hope there is not too much flooding either and the storm system is really taking its time. We need the rain though to get rid of all this pollen. It is also unbelivable of how warm this month has been for most of the nation.

Hope you don't get too much rain, the slow movement eastward of that system is quite amazing. The rain fall amounts in Tex. and LA. and points north must be at least 5-10 inches. I hope there is not too much flooding.
