Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 60 and it feels like 60. A Wind Advisory is now in effect until 7pm tonight. Winds will be out of the South-Southeast at 20-30mph with gusts between 40-50mph. Highs will continue to range between 80 and 88 with lows between 53 and 61. There is a 70% chance of thunderstorms for both Thursday and Friday. Rain will begin to come in to our area on Wednesday night. Severe weather will be possible on Thursday. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. I still believe that our severe threat may be limited somewhat. Heavy rain/flash flooding will be the primary threats. Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches is expected with isolated amounts greater than 3 inches possible. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 62 and it feels like 62. Todays high is 86 with a low of 61 and windy. Wednesdays high is 83.
