Remaining hot, rain/storms Thursday into Saturday

Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 62 and it feels like 62. Highs will continue to range between 77 and 88 with lows between 52 and 60. Thursday through Saturday, there is a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms. A few storms could be strong to severe with the main threats being large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. Heavy rain and flash flooding will be the primary threats. Rainfall amounts between 1-3 inches with locally 3+ inches in isolated areas are possible. A Wind Advisory may become necessary for Tuesday. Winds today will be out of the South at 10-20mph with gusts to near 35mph. Winds on Tuesday will be out of the South-Southeast at 20-30mph with gusts to 45mph. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 62 and it feels like 62. Todays high is 84 with a low of 60. Tuesdays high is 85 with partly cloudy skies and windy.
